    78, of 5566 Walmore Road, died today (Nov. 16, 1967) at
    his home after a long illness.
    Born on the reservation, he*-;-:
    had attended school here and

    He was a member of Wright's! 0. and Kenneth E., both of
    Corners U n i t e d Presbyterian; Lockport, f o u-r grandchildren
    Church. A retired auto mechanic;and several nieces and nephews.
    later was enrolled at the Carlisle,
    Pa., Indian school, where
    he was a classmate of the late
    Jim Thorpe.
    He had been employed as an
    engineer with the former Model
    City Canning" Co., Niagara Fals
    Memorial Hospital and the
    Tuscarora Indian School branch
    of the Niagara-Wheatfield Central
    - School District, retiring
    from the latter position in 1962.
    Mr. Smith was a member of
    the Tuscarora Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his wife,
    the former Frances Braddell;
    four sons, Arthur Smith Jr.,
    Town of Lewiston, Albert Setoff,
    North Tonawanda, Her
    bert Seeloff, Sanborn, and Robert
    Seeloff, Niagara Falls; two
    daughters, Mrs. Leo (Jeannine)
    Henry and Miss Edna Seeloff,
    both of the Town of Lewiston;
    15 grandchildren and two
    great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Pike
    and Jones Funeral Home from
    7 to 9 o'clock tonight and from
    2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. oh Friday.
    Services will be conducted at
    3 p.m. Saturday at the Tuscarora
    Baptist Church, lay minister
    Perry Brown of the Tuscarora
    Mission officiating.
    Burial will be in Mount Hope
    Cemetery.

    In September a Lockport woman
    was reunited with a daughter
    she had not seen in 58 years.
    They had a happy reunion and
    the daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hud
    son, returned to her home in
    Ireland a month later.
    On Thursday (Nov. 5, 1959) the
    mother, Mrs Clementina F.
    Braddell, died at the home of
    another daughter, Mrs. Ena Hatt,
    77 Elmwood Ave. She was 85.
    Born Jan. 29, 1874 in Ireland,
    she was the daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. Francis Furlong. Mrs.
    Braddell came to this country
    in 1901 with her husband, George
    R. Braddell, and a daughter, now
    Mrs. Arthur B. Smith of Lewiston.
    She left her daughter Gladys,
    who was three years old, in Ireland
    because her grandmother
    could not bear to part with her.
    She came to Lockport soon after
    her arrival in this country.
    Mr. Braddell died in 1918 and
    Mrs. Braddell raised the family.
    After living in Tonawanda since
    1918, she came here to live with
    her daughter about three years
    ago.
    Survivors Include two other
    daughters, Mrs. Eileen Powell,
    Boston, Mass., and Mrs. Eva Ripka,
    of Center Hall, Pa.; three
    sons, Henry Braddell, North
    Tonawanda; Walter Braddell,
    Kenmore, and James Braddell,
    Grand Island; 32 grandchildren
    and 37 great • grandchildren. She
    was also the mother of the late
    John R. Braddell.
    Friends msy call from 2 to 5
    in the afternoon and 7 to 9 in the
    evening at the Prudden and
    Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee
    St., where funeral services
    will be held Sunday afternoon at
    2:30. The Rev. Gordon R. Bender,
    pastor of the Lockport Gospel
    Center, will officiate. Burial
    will be in Glenwood Cemetery
