    for Howard S. Briggs, 70, of
    Dundee RD 1, will be held at
    Oughterson Inc.. Funeral Home
    Dundee at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
    The Rev. Benjamin P. Disbrow,
    pastor of the Dundee Baptist
    Church will officiate, with bur-
    ial in Hillside Cemtery, Dun-
    dee.
    Mr. Briggs died Saturday at
    Soldiers and Sailors Memorial
    Hospital in Pen Yan. He was
    born in Allegany County April
    2, 1895. His boyhood was spent
    in Allegany and Steuben Coun-
    ties. He had been a farmer and
    a livestock dealer and had lived
    in the Dendee vicinity for the
    last 32 years. He was a 50 year
    member of the Barrington
    Grange No. 1101.
    Survivors are his wife, Reita
    Wallace Briggs; two daughters,
    Mrs. Tracy Hainsworth of War-
    saw, Mrs. Frank Mullins of
    Penn Yan; nine sons, Law-
    rence, Charles, David, Howard,
    Arling, all of Dundee, Lewis
    and Harold of Penn Yan, Stan-
    ley of Newfield and Robert with
    the Peace Corps in the Philip-
    pines; one brother, John of On-
    tario, N.Y..; two sisters, Mrs.
    Maynard Scott of Belmont, and
    Mrs. Fern Beam of Adams;
    and 27 grandchildren; and five
    great-grandchildren.

    Howard married WALLACE, Reita about 1920. Reita was born on 30 Apr 1901 in New York; died on 15 Sep 1971 in Dundee, Yates County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    On Tuesday^ July 21, 1931 at
    Jones Memorial 'hospital in Wellsville
    occurred the death of Mrs. Weltha
    Selden Briggs, aged 77 years, of
    heart disease.
    Deceased, who was born in the
    town of Willing, was united in
    marriage to Adalbert C. Briggs on
    February 4, 1886 and they resided in
    Almond, Andover and Whitesvllle,
    but for years occupied a farm outside
    of Andover where Mr. Briggs
    died a number of years ago.
    Mrs. Briggs leaves four children,
    Mrs. G. {M. Lewis of Whitesville,
    John and Howard Briggs of Andover
    and Mrs. Maynard Scott of Belmont.
    The funeral service will be held
    from the Methodist Church in Andover,
    today, Thursday, July 23, 1931
    at 2 p. m., and burial will be at
    Hallsport, N. Y., Rev. R. C. Shergur
    of Andover officiating.
    Mrs. Briggs was a member of the
    Methodist church in Port Allegany,
    Pa.
