    Obituary of David Phillips David W. Phillips, age 74, lifelong resident of Ransomville, died Friday March 20, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness.David was born August 2, 1940 in Ransomville, the son of the late David and Marion (Strablow) Phillips. He was a 1959 graduate of Wilson High School and was employed in the Maintenance Dept. of Harrison Radiator in Lockport, from where he retired in 1989. David also was a truck driver for Mawhiney Trucking for 10 years.He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #617 in Lockport, the Wilson Conservation Club, and a member of the United Auto Workers Union.David was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan (Carnrike) Phillips on May 4, 1994. He is survived by a son, Michael (Peggy) Phillips of Youngstown; three grandsons, Shane M. (Katie) Phillips of Ransomville, Justin D. Phillips of Youngstown, and Keith D. Phillips of Newfane; and a great granddaughter, Rowin Phillips. He was predeceased by a son, Daniel D. Phillips in 1979. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday, March 23, from 5 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

    Phillips-Strablow
    A very pretty but quiet wedding
    was solemnized Saturday at noon at
    the Lutheran parsonage In Ransomville,
    N. Y. when Miss Marion Strablow,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Walter Strablow. of the Ridge road,
    became the bride of David W. Phillips,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W
    Phillips, of this city. The ceremony
    was performed by the Rev. Mr.
    Oldach. of Ransomvile.
    The bride was charming in a powder
    blue pebble gaoerdme suit with
    a hat of white straw and a Chmlength
    veil. Her accessories were
    white and she wore a shoulder corsage
    of iarge white gardenias.
    The brides attendant. Mrs. Timothy
    Moria.-.y. sister of the groom.
    was attired in a matched suit of
    gaberdine and tweed. Her accessories
    were white and she also wore
    white gardenias.
    Timothy Moriarty attended the
    groom.
    The mother of the bride was becomingly
    attired In a gown of pale
    blue silk print with accessories of
    white and the groom's mother wore
    navy blue crepe embroidered with
    silver and navy blue accessories.
    Immediately after the wedding, a
    reception was held at the home cf
    the brides parents. The rooms were
    beautifully decorated in white and
    pink, with a large white wadding
    bell. The bride's table, laid for 16
    was also attractively decorated and
    centered with a large white wedding
    cake.
    After the reception Mr. and Mrs
    Phillips left for a tour of the Adirondacks.

    York City, where they will visit the
