Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 9/10/1952

A three-and-a-half year old Gas-
port girl was electrocuted shortly
after 11 o'clock this morning when
she touched an electric fence on
the farm of her uncle, John O. Dev-
ereaux of the Budd Road, town of
Cambria.
Artificial respiration by the
Wright's Corners Volunteer F i r e
Company ambulance squad failed
to revive Katey Lou Brigham,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
Brigham of RD, Gasport. She was
pronounced dead on arrival at
Lockport City Hospital.
She was taken to the hospital
in the Wright's Corners ambulance.
Dr. Lemuel R. Hurlbut, of Lockport,
coroner, said he will issue a
certificate of accidental death.
Besides her parents, she Is survived
by a brother, Raymond, 13.
two sisters, Karen, 10, and Sue
Ann, 8, and two grandmoth-
ers, Mrs. Charles Brigham of Gas-
port and Mrs. Norman Berner of
Akron.
Funeral arrangements are being
handled by the Bream Funeral
Home in Gasport.

Miss Alice Marie Schuler of Middleport,
and Raymond J. Brigham
of Gasport, were united to marriage
in the parsonage of the
Christian church here, Tuesday
evening at 8:30. The ceremony was
performed by the Rev, R C. Updyke.
Mr. and Mrs. Brigham were
attended by Miss Frances wicks
and Wllllan Hantiel of Lockport.
The couple will make their home to

at the Lockport City hospital Simday
evening December 29, 1046. He
la survived by his wife Cora (nee
Otto) 5 daughters, Mrs. Robert

Thomas Thompson, Mrs. Wilbur
Peters, Olive Brigham all of Oasport
4 sons. C. Robert and Irving of

of Roulette, Pa. Friends may
call at the late home, Bolton Road
where private funeral win be held
on Wednesday at 3 o'clock. Burial
in Ormngeport cemetery. Flowers
gratefully declined.

passed away at her home, Aprill
21, 1956. She is survived by five

City Hospital Tuesday evening. May
14. 1939, in his 44th year. He is
survived by his wife, three sons and
five daughters, Lloyd, Katherlne,

and Eugene Schuler, also his father,
Fred Schuler at home, one sister,
Mrs. Helen Clemens of Buffalo, N. Y.
Funeral services will be held from

May 17th, at two o'clock. Interment
will be In Dyslnger's cemetery

Mrs. Catherine A. Brewer,
95, who leaves 170 direct descendants,
died Tuesday (May
26, 1964) at the home of a
daughter, Mrs Norman Berner,
249 Davison Road, after a long
illness.
Mrs. Brewer was born in the
Town of Royalton, April 10,
1869, daughter of Charles H.
and Hilda Middaugh Schad. She
was the widow of Eugene W.
Brewer.
Besides Mrs. Berner, she Is
survived by four other daugha
ters, Mrs. Angle Peters, Mid-
dleport; Mrs. Irving Criswell,
Lockport, and Mrs. Charles
Criswell and Mrs. H o w a rd
both of Akron; two
sons, George A. Brewer, Middleport,
and Norman Brewer of
Akron, 37 grandchildren; 106
great - grandchildren; 57 greatgreat
- grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Ross
Funeral Home Inc., 32 John
St., Akron, where the family
will be present from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services
will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m.
with the Rev. Charles P. Lunsford
of Calvary Baptist Church,
Akron, officiating. Burial will
be in Disinger Cemetery, Town'
