Mrs. Leggett Dies at 67 In Buffalo
Irene E. Leggett. 67, of the Dickersonville Road, Town of Lewiston, died Tuesday (June 9, 1964) at the Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo. She was born Nov. 17, 1896, in Medina, the daughter of the late William and Grace Young of Wilson. She had lived in the Dickersonville area 46 years. Mrs. Leggett is a graduate of Wilson Central School and the teachers training class at Wilson. She had taught school in the Lake Road, Town of Porter, at Sanborn, and in several schools in the Town of Lewiston. After she retired from teaching, she operated the Leggett Flower Shop at 1510 Main St., Niagara Falls. She retired from the business about three years ago. Mrs. Leggett was a member of the Dickersonville Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Durwood Leggett; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hewitt, at home: Mrs. Robert Miller, Lewiston and Mrs. Howard Williams, Ransomville; a brother, Fred Young, Lockport, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Hardison Funeral Home in Ransomville. Rev. Orrin T Carroll, pastor of the Dickersonville Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the North Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. starting Thursday.Children:
