Virginia A. Lowden (nee Grabbitt) age 81, of the Town of Amherst, April 6, 2015 in Beechwood Nursing Home. Virginia had been a volunteer of the North Tonawanda Meals on Wheels. She was the wife of the late Donald Lowden. Beloved mother of Kathy Lowden of Pendleton, Karen Lowden, Kevin (Denise) Lowden, and Kristine Lowden all of North Tonawanda. Grandmother of Timothy, Derek, and Randy Lowden. She was the sister of the late Donald Grabbitt and Lois Bacon. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 A.M., the Rev. Stewart Buisch will officiate, interment in Elmlawn Cemetery.
