    wedding was solemnized at the St.
    John's Lutheran parsonage at St.
    Johnsburg by the Rev. Walter
    Thlemecke, when Miss Geraldine M.
    Chesbro. daughter of Mr. and Mrs
    Henry Alles. Bergholtz, and Mr.
    Glenn L. Strassburg, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Albert' Strassburg, St. Johns-
    burg, were united in marriagcln a
    double ring ceremony.
    The bride wore a gown of powder
    blue Russian crepe with corded
    skirt, crepe sleeves and sweetheart
    neckline. Her accessories were navy
    blue and her corsage was of Talisman
    roses centered with an orchid.
    Miss Genevieve Strassburg, sister
    of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid
    In a gown of royal blue similar to
    that of the bride. Her corsage was
    of yellow roses centered with a gar
    denia.
    James Strassburg was his broth-
    er's best man.
    Following the ceremony, a wed-
    ding dinner for the immediate fam-
    ilies was held at Luigi's restaurant.
    In the evening a reception was held
    at the St. Johnsburg firehall where
    100 guests were present. The bridal
    couple received many beautiful gifts.
    Out of town relatives attending
    the wedding were from Mt. Forest,
    Clifford, Kitchener. Doon and Toronto.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Ida A. Strassburg. 65. of 6928 Ward Rd.. Town of Wheatfield, widow of Albert Strassburg. died Sunday (Oct. 29. 1961) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Strassburg was a member of the Gold Star Mothers Club of Wheatfield Post American Legion Surviving are three sons. Wilfred and Glenn Strassburg. Niagara Falls, and .James Strassburg, Wheatfield: four daughters, Mrs. David (Genevieve) Harms and Mrs. Richard (Annabelle) Harrison, both of this city, Mrs Marion Blanchard, and Miss Betty Ann Strassburg. both of Wheatfield: two sisters. Mrs. James Redding a n d Mrs William Wiegand. both of Wheatfield, and Mrs William Ostwald, Phoenix. Ariz ; and two brothers.     Woman Is Killed In Falls Blvd.
    A 60-year-old Town of Wheatfield woman became the victim Friday of Niagara County's first traffic fatality of the July 4 weekend. Mrs. Laura Pauline Alles, of 2293 Cayuga Drive, was killed at 9:56 p.m. when hit by a car while crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard a quarter of a mile east of Walmore Road. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Mount St. Mary's Hospital Dr. John Kinzly, Niagara County coroner, and Deputy Sheriff Ernest Longo investigated. Mrs. Alles was struck by a car driven by Thomas Kull, 39, of 1540 Arthur St., Niagara Falls, Ont. Alles' grandson, Kenneth Strassburg, 11, of 923 95th St., who was walking with her, escaped injury. Mr. Hull's car was westbound in Niagara Falls Boulevard. He was not charged. Deputy Longo said Kenneth told him he and his grandmother were waiting at the curb to cross when Mrs. Alles suddenly ran into the highway. Kenneth said he remained at the curb and shouted to his grandmother that a car was coming. Mrs. Alles was born in Colden Aug. 12, 1905. She was the widow of Henry Alles. She is survived by a son, John W. Alles, and a daughter, Mrs. Glenn. (Geraldine) Strassburg, both of Niagara Falls; two sister, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Smith Niagara Falls, and Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Croker, Orchard Park, and a brother, Clifford Allard, Orchard Park. Eight grandchildren also survive. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

    John G. Strassburg, 66, of 296 Thompson street, died last night in the DeGraff Memorial hospital. Born in the town of Wheatfield, he had resided in North Tonawanda the past 40 years.
