    Dennis M. Flanagan of Lockport, NY, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at home. Born on December 15, 1942 in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late William M. and Elizabeth Mulvena Flanagan.

    Dennis served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. He was the owner of Flanagan Electric, member of Lockport Town & Country Club and enjoyed golfing. He and his wife, the former Harriet Ulrich, were married on February 23, 1989.

    Surviving Dennis are his wife, Harriet; his daughter, Kelly (Ronald) Hiam of Lockport; step-children, Franklin Pratt of TX and Ruth (Kenneth) Kittle of Lancaster; grandchildren, Christian and Jordan Hiam and Morgan, Bethany and Luke Kittle; his sister, Eileen (James) Malecki of Henrietta; two nephews and his brother-in-law, David L. Ulrich. Dennis was predeceased by his brother, William D. Flanagan and nephew.

    Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM.     Services for Alice E. Beccue, 70, of Sunset Drive will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
    The former Alice Sprung died Tuesday (April 25, 1989) in her home after a long illness.
    The widow of Clay Beccue, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
    Survivors include two sons, Clay of Barrington, R.I., and David of Rochester; two daughters, Janine Crum and Bonita; a brother, Karl Sprung; a sister, Viola Sprung, and five grandchildren.

    Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bowler of
    Lockport and Mr. and Mrs. Allen
    Beccue of Raymond Hill entertained
    recently with a variety shower party
    at the latters home, in honor of
    Miss Alice Sprung and Clay Beccue,
    whose marriage will take place on
    Friday, June 28.
    The evening was spent playing
    games for which prizes were awarded.
    Miss Sprung received a guest prize.
    Large bouquets of garden flowers
    were placed about the living room.
    An attractively decorated umbrella
    was hung in one corner, directly
    above the davenport upon which the
    young couple was seated when they
    received their many gifts.
    Lunch was served from small
    tables. The bride-elect was presented
    with a corsage of mixed flowers.
    Guests included the Misses Donna
    Dlrich, Dorothy Smith, Viola Sprung,
    Mary Lambert and Naomi Beccue.

    Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith, Mr.
    and Mrs. Glenn Day, Karl Sprung,

    The marriage of Miss Alice E.

    Sprung, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    William Sprung, to Clay G. Beccue,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Beccue,
    was solemnized Friday evening at
    6:30 in the trinity Lutheran church
    by the Rev. Herman Meier.
    The bride given in marriage by
    her father, wore an attractice gown
    of white organza fashioned with lace
    and train and a finger tip veil
    caught with orange blossoms and a
    halo of pearls. She carried a bride's
    bouquet of mixed flowers.
    The wedding march was played by
    Erwin Reinholtz, who played several
    selections before the ceremony and
    played while the vows were made.
    Miss Viola Sprung, sister of the
    bride, was maid of honor. Her
    dress was of blue organza with
    matching slippers and she carried
    a mixed bouquet tied in pink.
    Allen Beccue, brother of the
    groom, acted as best man.
    Marcia Beccue, niece of the groom
    preceded the bride and dropped rose
    petals in her path. David Bowler,
    nephew of the groom, carried the
    ring on a taffeta pillow.
    Harold and Karl Sprung, brothers
    of the bride, acted as ushers.
    A dinner was served to the im-
    mediate families at Tenbrook's res-
    taurant, where 20 were seated at
    the bride's table. A reception fol-
    lowed at the home of the bride.
    Mr. and Mrs. Beccue left later on
    an eastern trip, the bride wearing
    a bllue sharkskin suit with matching
    hat and slippers and pink acces-
    sories. She wore a corsage of mixed
    flowers. Upon their return they will
    reside at 380 North Transit street.
    The bride was recently entertained
    with a linen shower by Mrs. F. Mc-
    Kenna, a bariety shower by Miss
    Jean Starling and Mrs. Frank
    Schultz; a variety shower by Mrs.
    Allen Beccue and Mrs. Arthur
    Bowler.
    A kitchen shower by her mother
    and sister; a grocery shower by Mrs.
    C. Smith; a towel shower by Mrs.
    W. Orr.

    volunteer firefighter and employe
    of Harrison Radiator
    Division, G e n e r a l Motors
    Corp., William A. Sprung, 78,
    of 408 N. Transit St., died
    Thursday (April 5, 1962) at
    home.
    Mr. Sprung was a charter
    member and past president
    of the Lockport Exempt Firemen's
    Association. He retired
    10 years ago after working
    more than 30 years as a shear
    operator at Harrison.
    Born in Wolcottsville, May
    25, 1883, Mr. Sprung was the
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles
    Sprung. He was a member of
    Trinity Lutheran Church.
    Survivors i n c l u d e two
    daughters, Miss Viola Sprung
    and Mrs. Clay G. Beccue;
