    were united in marriage at 10 a.m.
    Monday morning at Holy Family
    rectory by Very Rev Dean John
    A Conway. The bride is the
    daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank
    Muldoon and the bridegroom is
    the son of Mr and Mrs. Robert L.
    Brodhead. Sr
    The bridal couple was attended
    by Miss Kathryn L. Muldoon. sister
    of the bride, and William P.
    Maroney
    The bride was attired in a fall
    suit of Promade green with a
    scarf of Kolinsky furs, and accessories
    to match. The bride's
    bouquet was of lavender hybrid
    orchids.
    The maid of honor wore a fall
    suit of Indian earth eolor with
    scarf of Kolinsky furs and matching
    accessories. Her bouquet
    was of green orchids.
    The bridegroom's gift to his
    bride was a gold bracelet. The
    bride presented hef attendant
    with a Turmaline ring. The
    bridegroom's gift to his attendant
    was a bill fold.
    Wedding breakfast for the
    bridal party was served at
    Springside Inn.
    Mr. and Mrs. Brodhead will reside
    in this city. Mr. Brodhead
    is connected with the city engier's
    office at Memorial City
    Hall.

    of 59 Lake Avenue, Auburn. Private
    services were held Tuesday
    afternoon. Burial was made in
    Soule Cemetery.

    Private funeral services for Robert L. Brodhead, 65, of 50 Lake
    Avenue, well known Auburn carpenter-contractor, who was killed in
    an automobile accident Saturday afternon, almost ten miles east of
    Canandaigua, will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Langhorn Funeral
    Home, 45 East Genesee Street.
    Rev. Richard J. Blocker, pastor
    Sand Beech Church, will officiate.
    Burial will be in State
    Cemetery. Friends have been Invited
    to call at 81 East Genesee
    Street this evening.
    the accident was Investigated by
    State Trooper Robert Flaherty of
    the Canaudalgua patrol and Depth
    ty Sheriff Victor Campbell of Canaadalgua.
    It was at an intersection
    on the Phelps-Manchester highway
    that the accident happened.
    According to the officer* who Investigated,
    Mr. Brodhead was driving
    west en the main highway.
    With Mr. Brodhead was his wife,
    Mrs. Mary Vandenbosch Brodhead.
    From a side road came a car op-
    erated by Paul DeCook, 27, of
    Newark. Wayne County. Biding
    with De Cook were three small
    children. The ears collided at the
    Intersection and the impact shored
    the Brodhead car into a telephone
    pole beef de the pavement, throwing
    Mr. Brodhead oat and crashing
    him between the pole and the automobile.
    He died almost Instantly.
    Mrs. Brodhead was taken to the
    Clifton Springs Sanatorium, suffering
    from shock aad braises. Her
    condition proved to be not serious
    and she was to be brought to Auburn
    today. DeCook sustained a
    knee injury.
    Coroner S. F. Kutt .of Clifton
    Springs is investigating the fatality.
    Mr. and Mrs. Brodhead were
    on their way to visit friends in
    Rochester when the accident happened.
    Victim Widely Known
    Mr. Brodhead had been engaged
    in business as a contractor
    and carpenter in Auburn many
    years, achieving a reputation as
    a highly skilled workman and
    was much in demand.
    Besides his wife, Mr. Brodhead
    is survived by a son, Robert L.
    Brodhead, Jr., connected with the
    city engineer's department; a
    daughter, Helen M. Brodhead, a
    teat her at Tuckahoe, N. Y.; and a
    brother, George I. Brodhead of
    Auburn.
    Mr. Brodhead was a member of
    Auburn Lodge, 481, F. A A. M.;
    David's Chapter, 34, Royal Arch
    Masons; Salem Town Commandery,
    16, of Knights Templar;
    Damascus Temple of Rochester
    aad Auburn Lodge of Elks.

    Dies After Illness
    Mrs. Mary Vanden Bosch
    Brodhead, 85. of 59 Lake Ave.,
    widow of Robert L. Brodhead.
    died Tuesday night in Auburn
    Memorial Hospital after a fiveweek
    illness.
    Born in Parker's Landing.
    Pa., she had resided in Auburn
    69 years. Mrs. Brodhead was a
    member of the First Presbyter-
    Ian Church, Auburn Chapter 169,
    OES. and Mount Olive White
    Shrine.
    Surviving are a son. Robert
    LT Brodhead, of- Auburn;
    daughter, Mrs. Howard N. Fairchild,
    of Ithaca; a sister, Mrs.
    Wilhelmina Roberson, of North
    Syracuse and one grandson.
    Funeral services will be at 11
    a.m. Saturday at the Langham
    Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard
    Kuenkler. assistant pastor
    of First Presbyterian Church,
    will officiate. Burial'Will be in
    Soule Cemetery, Friends may
    call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at
    the funeral home.

    The death of Jacob H. Brodhead
    occurred at his home, 7 Van Duyne
    Avenue in the Town of Owasco, last
    evening after an illness of but a few
    days. Mr. Brodhead was born in
    Owasco and hid entire life has been
    spent in that vicinity where he
    leaves a host of friends to mourn
    his death. Besides his wife, Louise
    Amerman Brodhead, he leaves two
    sons, Robert L. Brodhead of this
    city and George I. Brodhead of
    Owasco; also two grandchifdren or,
    this city.
    Funeral services will be held from
    the home Friday afternoon at 2
    o'clock with concluding services
    and burial in Owasco Rural Cemetery

    Mrs. Louisa Amerman Brodhead of
    Owasco, widow of Jacob H. Brodhead,
    died last evening after an Illness
    of long duration. She was 75
    years of age. Mrs. Brodhead was
    born In Niles, the daughter of Ira
    and Sarah Brinkerhoff Amerman.
    She was a member of the Reformed
    Church of Owasco.
    Surviving are two sons, George I.
    and Robert L. Brodhead, both of Auburn.
    The funeral 'will be held at 2
    o'clock Friday afternoon at the home
    of Robert L. Brodhead, 69 Lake
    Avenue. Rev. M. J. Remein, pastor
    of the Owasco Reformed Church,
    will officiate.
    Interment will be In Owasco Rural
    Cemetery

    John Henry VandenBosch, 77, retired
    real estate man, former city
    street superintendent and one of
    Auburn's prominent citizens, died at
    5 o'cloek yesterday afternoon at the
    Auburn City Hospital, after an illness
    of only a week's duration.
    Mr. VandenBosch was born in Holland
    in 1819, coming to the United
    States at an early age. He settled
    in Auburn about 31 years ago. Reputed
    to have become wealthy in the
    oil business, he bought a tract of
    land some Tears ago on the site of
    what is now VandenBosch Avenue,
    and extending to Steele Street, Lake
    Avenue, and Swift Street, He mapped
    out the streets on this plot of
    ground and with the aid of his SOB,
    built several houses upon his property,
    which he afterwards sold.
    During the year 1902, he became
    street superintendent under Mayor
    Thomas Mott Osborne.
    He had not been engaged in active
    business for some time. Last June
    Mr. and Mrs. VandenBosch celebrated
    their golden wedding anniversary,
    after 50 years of married life.
    About a week ago, he was taken to;
    the hospital for an operation from
    which he failed to rally. His death
    came as a shock to a host of friends
    in this city.
    Survivors are his wife; one son,
    John VandenBosch of Niagara
    Falls; two daughters, Mrs. R. L.
    Broadhead, Auburn; and Mrs. Frank
    Robinson of Syracuse; 16 grandchildren,
    and three great-grandchildren.
    Private funeral services will be
    held at the late home, 95 Swift
    Street, Monday afternoon, at the
    convenience of the family. Burial
    will be in Soule Cemetery. The
    omission of flowers is requested.
    Friends may call until Monday noon.
