Puryear), Craig (Elizabeth, James (Sharon) Berry, Susan (James) Frey (nee Berry) and the late Ronald Berry; loving grandfather of JoAnn (Andrew) Bertolino (nee Viterna), Zachary (Myra) Viterna, Olivia Viterna, Joshua, Benjamin, Jordan, Kyle, Jessica, Rae, Daniel, Jennifer (David) Sullivan (nee Berry), Michelle (Michael) Young (nee Berry), Nicole (Brian) Cornuta (nee Berry), Alyssa Frey; devoted great-grandfather to Trent Viterna, Xavier Viterna, Emily Sullivan, Cade Sullivan, Millard Young, Megan Young and Jaden Cornuta; dear brother of Kenneth and predeceased by Also and Franklin.

    The family will be present to receive family and friends on Friday, May 22 from 4 to 9 PM in the BERNHARDT FUNERAL HOME at 130 Main St., Akron, NY, and at a memorial service on Saturday, May 23 at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church at 122 Main St., Akron. In lieu of flowers please send donatins to the First Baptist Church of Akron, NY.

    Chester served in the US Army during WWII from 1943 to 1946 in Africa, India, Iraq, Iran, France, Germany and Austria. He also completed 55 years of service to the Akron Lodge No 527 of the Grand Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of New York and served as Master Mason.
