Notes:

Danny R. Mort, 69, of Youngstown, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 21, 2024.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Daniel and Alice Laverne (Allen) Mort.
Dan was a 1973 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School.  He served in the United States Army from 1973 until his honorable discharge as Sargeant in 1979.  Morty, as he was known by his work buddies, worked at Occidental Chemical in Niagara Falls as a Millwright for 34 years until his retirement.
Dan enjoyed music, woodworking, spending time at camp and his many birds, and traveling with his wife.   Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.  He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife and family as well as his babies, Rudy and Riley.
Dan is survived by the love of his life, Cindy (Gilmer) Mort, who he married on April 4, 1998; his step-children, Nicholas Casal and Adam (Emily) Pike; his grandchildren, Joseph, Dominick and Aiden Casal and Madelyn Pike; his siblings, Patricia (Gary) Tufano, Connie (Paul) Laper; his father-in-law, Irwin (Michele) Gilmer, his brothers-in-law, Joseph Gilmer (Dawn Eady), Eric (Alison) Gilmer, and Jason Marsh, and sister-in-law, Camille Uschold; his aunt, Robbie (late Jack) Luba, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law Evelyn Gilmer (late John), as well by several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 10 AM.
