    A simple, but pretty fall wed-
    ding took place at 11:30 roday In
    First Presbyterian Church, when
    Helen M. Brodhead, daughter of
    Mrs. Mary P. Brodhead of .W Lake
    Lake Avenue, Auburn, and the late
    Robert L. Brodhead, became the
    bride of Howard N. Fairchild of
    121 Cayuga Park Road, Ithaca.
    The bridegroom Is the son of the
    late Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Fairchild.
    Rev. A. Paul Wright, pastor
    of First Presbyterian Church,
    officiated.
    The bride wore a dove gray and
    jrold crepe bolero ensemble with
    matching sccesorles, and kolinsky
    furs. Her corsage was of orchids.
    Arlynn Jacobs of Weedsport, maid
    •f honor, was gowned In cerise
    crepe with grape colored accessories,
    and mink furs. Her corsage
    was also of orchids.
    Sam Wolcott of Weedsport was
    best man.
    Following the wedding ceremony,
    a luncheon was served at the home
    of the bride's mother.
    The bride presented her maid of
    honor with a handwrought sterling
    silver bracelet The bridegroom's
    gift to the Stride was a necklace of
    genuine cultured i*arl«. The bride
    made the bridegroom a gift of a
    wrist watch. To the best man, tlie
    bridegroom presented a shockproof
    wrist watch.
    After a brief' wedding tour, Mr.
    and Mrs. Fairchild will make their
    home at 121 Cayuga Park Road,
    Ithaca. Mr. Falrchild Is a graduate
    of Cornell University. He Is
    associate professor of mechanical
    engineering at Cornell University
    and supervisors of instruction at
    the U. a. Naval Training. School at
    that university. The bride attended
    Syracuse University" and Oswego
    Normal School and graduated from
    Cortland State Teachers College.
