Daniel J. "Danny" Smith, 57, of Lewiston, NY, died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, July 10, 2015. Born in Lewiston, NY on February 4, 1958 to James D. and Gail (Quarantillo) Smith.Dan graduated from Lewiston Porter High School in 1977. He worked as a Union Carpenter for Local #210 and most recently was employed by STC Construction, Inc. in Springville, NY. Dan was a avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He enjoyed camping and was known as a perfectionist and had the gift of gab. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #584, Lewiston and the 3F Conservation Club.In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Crystal D. Smith of Lackawanna, NY and a son, Gerardus J. (Staci) Smith of Topeka, IN; a sister, Vicki White (Mark Cheers) of Lewiston; three nieces, Andrea, Brittany, and Jenna White; and a great-nephew, Kaleb DeLorenzo; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his longtime companion, Victoria Bradshaw.Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston, on Monday from 2-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday from St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, at 10 AM. (PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049

Obituary of James D. Smith
James D. Smith, 86, of Lewiston, husband of Gail Quarantillo Smith entered into rest on Saturday April 3, 2021 at home. Born on September 01, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY to his late parents Sydney and Ethel Willis Smith. Jim served in the U.S Marine Corp. from 1953 to 1956 serving in Japan, he married Gail Quarantillo on March 02, 1957. He was a lineman for Verizon for over 30 years retiring in 1995. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling with his wife to Mexico. His favorite place in the morning was the Villa Coffee Shop. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 584 and was one of Lewiston’s finest citizens. Special thank you to Niagara Hospice especially nurse “Jodie”.Surviving is his wife Gail; a daughter Vicki White (Mark Cheers); his sisters Nancy Ladouceur and Debbie Krysa, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jim is predeceased by his best friend and son Daniel “Danny” Smith and a sister Kathryn Robare.Jim donated his body to U.B Medical School. No services will be held at this time.
