F. A. Gandt, Carborundum Employe, Dies
Frederick A. Gandt. 51, of 312 Eighth St., died today (May 15, 1958) of a heart attack at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in North Tonawanda, he lived in Niagara Falls since he was six months old. He was employed at the Carborundum Co. as a lathe operator for 26 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Scotland F. Gandt; two sons, Frederick C. and James Gandt; three daughters, Dianne, Patricia and Mary Louise Gandt, and four sisters, Mrs. Percy Paige, Mrs. Walter Corkill. Mrs. Rose Foltz and Miss Milfred Gandt, all this city. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cobler's Funeral Home, the Rev. Arthur H. Schmoyer officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Funeral Services for Lifelong Resident Are Held at Family Home.
Funeral services for Charles F. Gandt, lifelong Niagara Falls' resident, who died Tuesday, were held at the family home, 473 Twenty-sixth street, yesterday afternoon, with a large number of friends and relatives in attendance. The services were conducted by the Rev. Gustav Zemer and burial was in Oakwood cemetery. The pallbearers were Hubert Broecker, Wilbert Broecker, Walter Zehm, Harvey Gandt, William Gandt, and Fred Loge.

Charles married HASELEY, Emma Amelie in 1894 in Niagara County, NY. Emma (daughter of HASELEY, August Johann and HELLERT, Louise Maria) was born on 28 Jul 1869 in Town of Lewiston, Niagara County, NY; died on 12 Feb 1931 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

LONG ILLNESS FATAL
Mrs. Charles Gandt, Resident Here 23 Years, Dies at Family Home. Mrs. Emma Haseley Gandt died yesterday at the family home at 473 Twenty-sixth street. Funeral services will be held from the home on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment will be in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Gandt was born in Sanborn on July 28, 1869, and had lived here for the past 23 years. She had been ill a year.
Besides the husband, Charles. she is survived by four daughters, Evelyn and Louise Gandt, Mrs. Mabel Burton. and Mrs. William Foltz, all of North Tonawanda; two sons Milford and Frederick, both of North Tonawanda; one sister, Mrs. William Broecker, of North Tonawanda, and four brothers, Philip, Henry and Emil Haseley, all of Niagara Falls, and Hubert Haseley, of Sanborn.
