Behm and the late Lillian P. (nee Wickham) Behm; brother of Christine (James) Loughrey, John (Yolanda) and Thomas W. (Karen) Behm; also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC, 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11 AM. Friends invited. A private burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery. Gary was a 1972 graduate of North Tonawanda High School and was a slo-pitch softball pitcher in the Twin Cities for many years.

    Roger Philip Behm, age 91, of North Tonawanda, died peacefully on November 30, 2018. Roger was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion Sikora Post. He was a life-long and active member of the Gratwick Hose Fire Co. He was a former employee of the Root Neal Company and he enjoyed playing Bingo, Euchre, and Cribbage. He was an avid Bills and Sabres fan.
    He was the husband of the late Lillian P. (Wickham) Behm. Beloved father of Christine S. (James) Loughrey, John (Yolanda) Behm, Thomas (Karen) Behm and the late Gary Behm. Father-in-law of Gloria Behm. Grandfather of Steven (Laura), Mark, Allison, Katie, Brian, Melissa (James), and Stacy. Great-grandfather of Jack and Alex. Brother of Delores (late Robert) Batt and the late Kermit Behm and the late Bonita Thursam. Dear companion of Eleanor Stahl.

    A lovely wedding was solemnised
    at 4 p.m. May 20, in the Kenmore
    Methodist Church, uniting in
    marriage Miss Lillian Wickham,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
    Wickham of 336 Springville Ave..
    Eggertsville and Roger Behm, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Behm of
    East Felton St.
    The Rev. Oscar C. Plumb officiated
    at the double ring candlelight
    ceremony. Miss Dorothy
    Harp sang "I Lovt Thee,"
    "Through the Years" and 'The
    Lord's Prayer."
    The bride wore a hoop skirted
    gown fashioned with a lace bodice
    coming to points into the full
    skirt of marquisette, small cape
    sleeves and a sweetheart neckline.
    Her scalloped veil of illusion fell
    from a pearl tiara. She wore short
    lace mitts and carried an arch of
    white roses centered with an orchid.
    A string of pearls completed
    her ensemble. The bride was given
    in marriage by her father.
    Mrs. Jane Krupp, sister of the
    bride,, as matron-of-bonor, wore °
    gown of light green taffeta, buttoned
    at the back, with sweetheart
    neckline, short sleeves and a hooped
    skirt. She wore taffeta mitts
    and a net hat to match her gown
    and carried a colonial bouquet of
    yellow roses. Another sister, Miss
    Mildred Wickham, bridesmaid,
    wore a similar costume of yellow
    and carried a colonial bouquet
    of red roses.
    Joseph Fallon of Great Neck, L.
    I., was the best man. His brotherin-
    law, Robert Batt, was groomsman
    and the ushers were William
    Krupp, brother-in-law of the bride
    and Kermit Behm, the groom's
    brother.
    The bride's mother chose a
    royal blue crepe gown with feathered
    hat to match. Her corsage
    was of pink roses. The groom's
    mother selected a steel blue crepe
    gown with matching hat and a
    corsage of red roses.
    After the ceremony a reception
    and dinner were held in the
    George F. Lamm Post in Williamsville
    for 200 guests. The bride's
    table was centered witth a tiered
    wedding cake flanked with bouquets
    of narcissus and tulips.
    Out-of-town guests were present
    from Dunkirk, Olcott, Lockport,
    Wilson, Long Island, Pennsylvania,
    New Jersey and the
    Tonawandas.
    For traveling the bride chose a
    navy blue gabardine suit with
    pink accessories and an orchid corsage.
    Mr. and Mrs. Behm have
    returned from a wedding trip to
    Vermont and are at home in 346
    Goundry St.

    Roger D. Helwig age 86, of North Tonawanda, November 4, 2014, at his home while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Mr. Helwig served in the National Guard and had retired from Durez. He was an avid bowler, and a Sabres and Bills fan. He also enjoyed fishing and watching softball. He was the son of the late Walter and Leona (Broeker) Helwig.

    Beloved husband of Charlyne (nee Harman) Helwig; father of Gloria (Gary) Behm of Tonawanda, Carol (David) Hromowyk of Wheatfield and Beverly Helwig of Portland, OR; grandfather of Bryan (Kristin) Leavoy, Lori (Timothy) Pierson, Mark Behm and David “DJ” Hromowyk; great-grandfather of Abby, Kate and Nolan; brother of the late Jerauld Helwig.

    The marriage of Miss Leona Eliza
    b e t h Broeker, daughter of Mr. and
    Mrs. William F. Broeker of Stenzel
    street, to Mr. Walter Helwig of King
    steet was solemnized Saturday, July
    12, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Rev.
    Klindworth officiating. The church
    was decorated with white and yellow
    daisies. The bride wore a gown of
    white satin with Chantilly lace, with a
    veil fastened with a wreath of orange
    blossoms, and carried a shower bou-
    quet of white roses and lillies of the
    valley. Miss Geneva Broeker the maid
    of honor, wore yellow georgette with
    cream lace and carried a bouquet of
    rosebuds. Miss Elnore Schmischack
    te bridesmaid, wore pink georgette
    with white lace and carried rosebuds.
    Bernice Hardy, the flower girl, wore
    pink organdie and carried a basket of
    sweetheart roses and baby breath. Mr.
    Carl Helwig was the best man, and
    the ushers were Daniel Delrabe, and
    Howard and Leonard Osman. Among
    the out-of-town guests were Mr. and
    Mrs. A.. Brocker of Pendleton, Mrs. M.
    Lockay of Amherst, Miss Loretta
    Schulyz, Mr. Henry Johnston and Mr.
    Daniel Delrabe of LaSalle. Mr. and
    Mrs. Helwig are taking a trip to the
    Adironacks.
