    (Aug. 26, 1973) at his home.
    Mr. Browning, 78, was born in
    Tonawanda. He retired to
    Florida in 1957.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Anna M. (nee Keller) Browning
    of Melbourne! two sons,
    Charles L. of Melbourne and
    James F. of New York City,
    and one daughter, Mrs. Lloyd
    (Janet) Long of Tonawanda.
    He is also survived by five
    grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren,
    and many
    nieces and nephews.
    Mr. Browning was a member
    of Our Lady of Lourdes
    Church, American Legion Post
    81, and Barrack No. 500 of
    Melbourne, He was a 50-year
    member of the Delaware Hose
    Company and Eldredge
    Bicycle Club of Tonawanda.
    He was a World War I veteran
    and a lifetime member of the
    American Federation of Musicians.
    Services will be held at Our
    Lady of Lourdes Church at 10
    a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 29.
    Brownlie Funeral Home is in
    charge of the services.

    Mrs. Gertrude J. Browning, nee
    Keller, 47, died at the DeGraff
    Memorial hospital after a brief illness
    last night. She was born in
    Kenmore and was a resident of
    the Tonawandas for about 25
    years. She is survived by one
    daughter, Janet; two sons, Sergt,
    Charles L. of Camp Monroe, Fla.
    and James of Tonawanda; her
    mother, Mr. Louise Keller of Kenmore,
    three sisters, Mrs. Vincent
    Owens and Mrs. George Henel of
    the Town of Tonawanda and Mrs.
    Eloise Mclntee of Kenmore; four
    brothers, Leo Keller of Buffalo
    and Raymond, Cletus and Edwin
    of Kenmore. She was a member of
    the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amer
    ican Legion. The funeral will be
    Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from the
    family home, 254 Kohler stsreet
    and from St. Francis church with
    Msgr. John a Weismantel officiat-
    ing. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet.

    Browning. 58 years old. Elllcott Creek
    road, died yesterday at the DeGraff
    hospital after a long Illness. Born In
    Willlamsvllle. he came to Tonawanda
    to live when eight years old. For many
    years he conducted a barber shop at
    209 Delaware street. He was a member
    of the Modem Woodmen of America
    and of the Eldredge Bicvcle Club.
    The funeral will be held at 2:30
    o'clock Friday at the home. The Rev.
    John H. Sprock. pastor of the Grace
    Lutheran church, will officiate and burial
    will be In the City Cemetery.

    Frank Browning, 58 years old,
    Ellicott Creek road, died this
    morning at the DeGraff Memorial
    hospital after a lingering illness.
    Born in Williamsville, he came to
    Tonawanda to live at the age of
    eight. For many years he conducted
    a barber shop at 209 Delaware
    street. He was a member
    of the local brarvh of the Modern
    Woodmen of American and of
    the Eldredge Bicycle Club.
    Surviving are a wife, Amelia;
    two sons, Charles and Franklin;
    a daughter, Mrs. Reuben Licht;
    a mother, Mrs. Jennie Benjamin,
    residing in Rochester; a brother,
    Walter, and 14 grandchildren,
    Tonawanda.
    The funeral will be "held Friday
    afternoon at 2:30 o'clock st the
    residence. Rev. John H. Sprock
