    Notes:

    Mrs. Norma Jean LaMachia, of Medina, passed into eternal life on October 1, 2015. Norma, the daughter of Nelson and Grace Eichelkraut, was born on September 28, 1934 in Royalton Center, and lived most of her life in Medina, NY. Norma was predeceased by her loving husband, Philip, in 2012. She is survived by her son, Philip (Michelle) LaMachia, Jr., and daughters Susan (Robert) Simbida and Lisa (Martin) Roeseler. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary and Jacob Roeseler, and Chelsea (Ben) LaMachia-Woods. She leaves behind sister-in-law Verna Iorio, along with several nieces and nephews. Norma was employed for many years by the Medina Central School District in the Wise Jr. High School cafeteria, and later as a clerical employee in the School District Office until her retirement in 1997. During her life, Norma was actively involved in the Medina Band Boosters, Red Hats, Catholic Daughters, and was a TWIG volunteer at Medina Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed camping, reading, collecting books, and sitting on her deck watching the creek. Norma was a kind woman who never hesitated to help friends in need. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Sunday 2-5 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home, 215 West Center Street, Medina. The Rev. Daniel J. Fawls will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 AM at Holy Trinity Parish/St. Stephen's Church in Middleport. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma Jean LaMachia may be made to Hospice of Orleans County, POB 489, Albion, NY 14411-0489; or the Knights-Kaderli Memorial Fund, POB 684, Medina, NY 14103-0684.
