    Hibbard A. Brush, age 74, of Water Street, Bath, NY died Monday, July 26, 2010. He was born July 14, 1936 in Bath, NY the son of Gordon and Leatha Marlatt Brush. Hibbard retired from the Taylor Wine Company after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of the Charles E. Wescott American Legion Post 173 in Bath, Bath B.P.O.E. and the Bath Masons. Hibbard was a well known organist in the Bath area playing for organizations and weddings.

    He was a Korean War Army Veteran.

    He is survived by his daughter, Michelle L. (Anthony) Ritter of Bath, NY; two sons, Douglas (Peggy) Brush of Bath, NY and Michael (Melinda) Brush of Bath, NY five grandchildren and his brother Norman (Angie) Brush of Bath. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Joyce H. Brush and sisters, Marjorie McCaig and Wanita Brush.

    Hibbard married MULLEN, Joyce H in Jan 1963 in Avoca, Steuben County, NY. Joyce (daughter of MULLEN, Roy E and ERWAY, Mildred) was born on 29 Jan 1941 in Hammondsport, Steuben County, NY; died on 15 Jan 1999 in Urbana, Steuben County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Miss Joyce Helene Mullen of
    AVoca RD 1 on Saturday became
    the bride of Hibbard
    Brush of Bath in double ring
    ceremonies at the Avoca Methodist
    Church. The bride is the
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy
    E. Mullen of Avoca RD 1, and
    her husband is the son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Gordon Brush of Bath.
    The Rev. James Paul Cole
    performed the ceremony in a
    church decked with baskets of
    white pompons. Organist was
    Mrs. Donald Healy, while Mrs.
    Jane Woodruff was soloist.
    Given in marriage by her
    father, the bride selected for
    her wedding ;a gown of nylon
    brocaded organdy with a fitted
    bodice, boat-type neckline, and
    long sleeves. The floor length
    gown was -accented by a scalloped
    hemline and featured a
    hoop skirt. Her fingertip veil
    of illusion was caught by a
    crown of sequins, crystal and
    seed pearls and she wore a single
    strand of pearls., a gift of
    the bridegroom. She carried
    a colonial bouquet of white
    roses and carnations
    Matron of honor was Mrs.
    Phyllis Harris of Bath, who was
    attired in a rod velvet top setting
    Off a white nylon organdy
    ballerina length skirt. She carried
    a boUquet-of red and white
    carnations. Bridesmaids were
    the Misses Dobbie and Patty
    Erway, both of Bath.
    Best man was Norman Brush
    of. Bath, brother of the bridegroom.
    Seating guests in the
    church were .Robert Gerhart of
    Bath and Keith Mullen of Avoca
    RD 1.
    For, her. daughter's wedding,
    Mrs. Mullen selected a gold brocade
    sheath dress and a cor-
    sage of red roses. Mrs, Brush
    chose a, beige gown of. pure silk,
    over .taffeta and a corsage of red
    roses.
    Following the wedding, a re-
    ception for 200 guests was held
    in the church parlors. The cou-
    ple then left for a wedding trip
    to Niagara Falls. For traveling,
    Mrs. Brush selected a suit
    of brown wool with beige hat
    and accessories.
    Mr. .and Mrs. Brush will reside
    at 8 East Washington St.,
    Bath.
    The bride is a graduate "of
    Avoca Central School and is
    employed at the Westinghouse
    Electronic Tube plant in Bath.
    Her usband is a graduate of
    Haverling Central Schooi in
    Bath,•served three years in the
    U.S. Army, including a year in
    Korea. He is employed at the
    Yost Food Mart in Bath.

    Edgar Charles Brush, 76, died
    Sunday morning at the Bath Hospital.
    The funeral was held at
    2 p. m. Tuesday at the Waldo
    Funeral Home with burial in
    Nondaga cemetery. Mr, Brush,
    was born at Pulteney and passed
    his life in Steuben County, for
    the past 10 years living at Kano-
    na. Surviving are sons Gordon,.
    Clarence and Hibbard of Bath
    and Arthur Brush, Wellsville;
    and a daughter, Mrs. Mabel,
    Davis, of Wheeler. Mr. Brush
    was well- known as a man of
    worth and character and was
    held in general esteem.

    at Hammondsport, were held
    Tuesday afternoon at the home of
    her son, Clarence Brush of Camp

    etery. Mrs. Brush's maiden name
    was Emma. Stratten and she was
