Obituary of William Borowicz William Borowicz 86, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on December 17, 1928 he was the son of the late Tomas and Antonina (Banaska) Borowicz. He married the love of his life Stella Butski on September 10, 1949 and they were married for 46 years until her passing on February 20, 1996.William worked as a Tradesman for 40 years at Union Carbide. After retiring he became an all-around Mr. Fix it, who enjoyed working and fixing everything for his family and friends in his spare time. He was an avid coin collector and loved traveling, especially to Las Vegas. As well as the annual family camping and fishing vacations and trips to the Finger Lakes race track.He is survived by his children, Kathleen(Donald "Steve") Sommer , Anthony W.(Diana) Borowicz all of Grand Island, NY and Gary(Ann Marie) Borowicz of New Jersey; grandchildren, Kristin and William Sommer, Kevin Borowicz and Christopher(Antonia) Makowski; great grandchild Cayeden Makowski and brother Edmund(late Helen) Borowicz. Friends may call Tuesday, November 17th from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor. of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Where prayer services will being 8:30 AM on Wednesday November 18th , followed by a Mass of Christian at 9:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In Lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094-1231.
