An impressive wedding ceremony
was solemnized Monday
morning, September 9, in the Our
Lady of Czestochowa Church when
Miss Alfreda Wellenc became the
bride of Mr. Henry Brzezinski at
9:00 o'clock mass. The bride is
the daughter of Mrs. Lottie Wellenc
of 112 Fifth avenue and the
late Mr. Stephen Wellenc; the
groom is the son of Mrs. Pearl
Brzezinski of 15 East Felton street
and the late Mr. Alexander Brzezinski.
To the tune of Lohengrin's Wedding
March, played by Miss
Frances Plewinski, the bride approached
the aitar on the arm of
her brother, Mr. Julian Wellenc.
The Rev. Henry Wozniak performed
the ceremony. During the
mass at the offertory, Miss Anna
Brzezinski and Mr. Stephen
Brzezinski, sKter and brother of
the groom, sang Ave Maria. Miss
Plewinski accompanied them at
the organ. Garden flowers decorated
the altar.
Miss Felicia Majka was maid of
honor. The Misses Dorothea May
and Irene Tyskiewicz acted as
flower girls. Mr. Frank Brzezinski,
brother of the groom, was
best man.
The bride wore a white satin
gown cut on princess lines. The
bodice was appliqued with seed
pearls arranged in a flower pattern,
and had leg-o' mutton sleeves
which came to points at the wrists.
Her three-tiered veil of illusion
fell from a headdress of lilies of
the valley, and she carried a colonial
bouquet of orchids and lilies
of the valley.
The maid of honor wore a
jacket frock of delphinium blue
taffeta, and carried a sheaf of
Picardy gladioli tied with net of
the same color. She wore peach
slippers and a band of Picardy
gladioli adorned her hair.
The flowers girls wore similar
gowns of peach taffeta with delphinium
blue accessories. Little
noseaya of delphinium adorned
their hair. Both carried sheaves
of delphiniums tied with net of
the same color.
Mrs. Lottie Wellenc, the mother
of the bride, wore black crepe
with black accessories. The mother
of the groom, Mrs. Pearl Brzezinski,
was dressed in black velvet
with black accessories. Both
wore gardenia corsages.
After the ceremony a reception
was held at 124 Sixth avenue for
the immediate family and intimate
friends. A huge wedding cake
centered the breakfast table which
was bedecked with garden flowers
and white candles.
Out of town guests included
Mr. and Mrs. John Jaronski, Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Karjnik, Mr.
and Mrs. Anthony Mociun, Miss
Isabel Nowak and Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Putkowski of Nanticoke,
Pa.; Mrs. Sophie Jaszczak and
daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Kotoell of Detroit, Mich.; Mr.
and Mrs. Victor Johnson, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Kostusiak, Mrs. Anna
Kraczewski, Mrs. Anna. Prusinowski,
and Mr. and Mrs. Alexander
Wellenc of Buffalo, N. Y.; Mr.
Paul Day of East Aurora.
The bride and groom left for
a two-weeks' wedding trip to N ew
York, Scranton, Pa., and Washington,
D. C. On their return they
will reside in an apartment at
47 Hyland avenue.
The bride's going away costume
was a black suit with which she
ware black accessories and a corsage
of gardenias.

the bride were given by M r s.
Pearl Brzezinski, Mrs. Anna
Kraczewski of Buffalo, Miss
Frances Plewinski, Miss Irene Tyskiewicz
Mrs. Lottie Wellenc, and
Miss Dorothea May.
