    Notes:

    Chester S. Buchalski, 86, of Gasport, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Sisters of Charity Hospital.  Born on August 26, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Stephen and Felicia (Nicpon) Buchalski.
     
    Mr. Buchalski was raised and spent most of his life in Niagara Falls, until he recently moved to Gasport.  Chester served in the National Gaurd from 1947 until he enlisted in the United States Navy on June 7, 1949, during the Korean War, stationed aboard the USS Bronson and was honorably discharged on March 13, 1953. He was employed and retired from Carborundum, which later became Washington Mills, as a forklift operator.
     
    Mr. Buchalski was a communicant of the former Holy Trinity Church in Niagara Falls as well as Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Barker.  Chester was a longtime member of the American Legion Portage Post #1465 and also served as an auxiliary police officer. He enjoyed having coffee regularly with his fellow retirees from Carborundum, walking and reading. 
     
    Mr. Buchalski is survived by his children, Christopher (Linda) Buchalski, Theresa (late Brian) (John) Tracz-King, Lorraine (late Wayne) Parker, Victor (Jenn) Buchalski and Cindy (David) Andrews; grandchildren, Daniel (Amanda) Tracz, Lisa Fritz, Adam Fritz, Victor A. Buchalski and Michelle Parker and a great-grandchild, Parker Tracz. Chester is also survived by brothers, Henry (Carol) Buchalski, Walter (late Dorothy) Buchalski and Ted (late Stella) Buchalski and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his former spouse, Rita Martel; his companion, Nancy Flynn and siblings, Stella (late Elmer) Mauer, Felix (late Florence) Buchalski, John (late Mary) Buchalski, Matt (late Angie) Buchalski and Leo (late Felicia) Buchalski.
     
    Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating.  Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, concluding with military honors.

    St. Paul's Lutheran Church was the scene of
    the wedding of Miss Rita Ciurczak and Chester
    S. Buchalski this morning (Oct. 5„ 1957) at 10
    o'clock. The Rev. Evan J. Bartell officiated before
    an altar adorned with white gladioli.
    The bride is five daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Marcel E. Ciurczak, 24th St., and the bridegroom
    is'the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Buchalski,
    E. Falls. St.
    Mrs. Emrys Hughes provided wedding music

    for the ceremony.
    A gown of Chantilly lace and sitk tulle fashioned
    with basque neckline, long torso and bouffant
    skirt was the choice of the bride.Her fingertip-length
    veil was held by a crown and she carried a colonial
    bouquet of white roses centered with a white
    orchid and surrounded by pale pink baby rosebuds.
    Miss Henrietta
    Cicero was maid-of honor
    and bridesmaids were Miss Judy Lynch and Miss
    Constance Ciurczak, sister of the bride. Antoinette
    Ciurczak was junior bridesmaid.
    Bridal attendants were attired in gowns of

    chiffon fashioned with shirred bodices .and very
    full, ballerina-length skirts. The honor attendant
    was gowned in Nile green and the bridesmaids
    in champagne color. carried colonial bou-
    quels of yellow roses.
    Alphonse Adamus was best man and ushers

    were John Abramaitys, Joseph Piotrzkowski and
    Marcel E. Ciurczak Jr. the bridegroom's brother.
    Greeting guests at a reception to be held tonight
    at Mady's Hall, the bride's mother will wear
    a Nile green chiffon dress with beige accessories
    and the bridegroom's mother has selected a royal
    blue crepe dress and black accessories. Each will
    Vcar an orchid corsage.
    A wedding trip, to New York City will be
    taken by the newlyweds. They plan to reside at
    1912 Cudaback Ave.

    funeral home at 8 p.m. Fri
    day.
