    man,, 98,, of Niceville, FL and
    formrly of Elk Towers,
    passed away Thursday morn-
    ing at the Twin City Hospital
    in Niceville.
    She was born October 23,
    1902, in St Marys, daughter
    of the late John and Frances
    Meyer Bucheit. On June 27,
    1927, in the St. Joseph's
    Church, in Warren, she mar-
    ried Benedict H. Hoffman,
    who precded her in death on
    February 11, 1987.
    Mrs. Hoffman was a life-
    long resident of the area and
    attended St. Marys Parochial
    schools and St.. Benedict's
    Academy. She was a member
    of the Sacred Heart Church,
    and wa one of the first resi-
    dents of Elk Towers. She was
    also a member of the St.. Ann's
    Society, Benedictine Obates
    and the C.D. of A.
    She is survived by two
    daughters, Sister Jane Fran-
    cis, O.S.B., of the St. Joseph's
    Monastery, and Patricia
    McDaniel of Nicevie, FL; a
    son, Benedict M. Hoffman of
    DeFuniak Springs, FL; five
    grandchildren; and five great-
    grandchildren.
    In addition to her husband
    and parents, she was preced-
    ed in death by six sisters,
    Clara Bucheit, Emma
    Bucheit, Frances ronenwet-
    ter, Josephine Dieteman, Eliz-
    abeth Lorenz and Anna
    Boschert; and by one brother,
    John Bucheit. She was the
    last member of her immediate
    family
    A Mass of Christian Burial
    for Scholastica M. "Sally"
    Hoffman will be celebrated in
    the Sacred Heart Church on
    Monday at 10:00 a.m. Burial
    will follow in the St. Marys
    Cemetery.
    Visitation is at the Lynch-
    Radkowski Funeral Home on
    Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A
    Rosary will be recited at the
    Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m.
    Sunday evening. Memorial
    contribution may be mad to
    the Sacred Heart Church, 323
    Center Street, St. Marys; or to
    the St.. Joseph's Monastery,
    303 Church Street, St. Marys.

    John Bucheit, who llived practi-
    cally all his life on a farm near the
    new sewer pipe plant, died at one
    o'clock this morning at the home of
    his daughter, Mrs Ben Hoffman,,
    146 Neubert street, after a three-
    month illness.
    He had been making his home
    with the Hoffmans the past several
    months. The remains may be view-
    ed there.
    Mr. Bucheit, 88 was born in St.
    Marys July 10,, 1853. He worked in
    local chemical industrial plants
    fom time they first started in St..
    Marys until discontinued.
    Of recent years he lived a rettired
    life. He was the last of his immed-
    iate family, all sisters and brothers
    having preceded him in death.
    The deceased is survived by six
    daughters, Scholastica, Mrs.. Ben
    Hoffman Josephine, Mrs. Joseph
    Dieteman, Frances, Mrs Francis
    Kronenwetter, Anna, Mrs.. Walter
    Boschert,, St. Marys; Elizabeth,
    Mrs. H. P. Lorenz, Miss Emma
    Bucheit, Warren..
    Twenty granndchildren and 10
    great-grandchildlren are likewise
    numbered among the survivors.
    Funeral rites will be held in St.
    Marys church Wednesday morning
    at nine o'clock, to be followed by
    burial in St. Marys cemetery.
    Members of St Joseph Society will
    attend the services.

    Mrs. John Bucheit, 79, nee Fran-
    ce Mary Meyer, a resident of this
    vicinity for the past 60 years died
    at her home on the Sewer Pipe
    Road Saturday morning at 8:30
    o'clock.
    The aged woman, a devout Cath-
    olic had been in failing ealth
    sincce Novvember 15, and had been
    bedfast the past month. Death was
    due to complications.
    She was born in Baden, Germany,
    August 10, 1859, daughter of the late
    Mr.. and Mrs. Joseph Meyer. She
    came to this country when she was
    19 years of age.
    She was married to John Buch-
    eit in St. Marys church on January
    25, 1881.
    Mrs.. Bucheit was an active mem-
    ber of St. Marys church and be-
    longed to the Altar Society of that
    parish. She was also a member of
    the Third Order of St. Francis.
    The deceased is survived by her
    husband, six daughters, Frances,
    Mrs. Frank Kronenwetter, Joseph-
    ine, Mrs. Joseph Dieteman, Anna,
    Mrs. Walter BOchert,, Scholastica,
    Mrs. Benedict Hoffman, of St.
    Marys; Elizabeth, Mrs. Henry Lor-
    enz and Miss Emma Bucheit, of
    Warren, Pa. One daughter, Clara,
    and one son, John, preceded their
    mother to the grave.
    Mrs. Bucheit was the only mem-
    ber of her immediate family that
    settled in this country. She is also
    survived by 20 grandchildren and
    nine great grandchildren.
    Funeral mass will be held at nine
    o'clock tomorrow (Tuesday) morn-
    ing in St. Marys church and inter-
    ment will followin parish cemetery.
