TOOKE - Lyle C.
Age 86 of the City of Tonawanda, passed away peacefully May 1, 2021. Loving husband of Roberta "Ronni" Tooke; father of Jeffrey (John Hochadel) Tooke and Timothy Tooke; stepfather of Bradley, Christopher and Glenn Ferry; grandfather of Susan and Justin Tooke, and three great-grandchildren; step-grandfather of Aidan, Sean and Jacob Ferry and Jessica Marshall; son of the late Embury and Genevieve Tooke; brother of Janith Tooke; predeceased by two sisters and five brothers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lyle was a 1952 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of the Tonawanda Union Hook & Ladder Vol. Fire Co. for more than 60 years and also a member of the Tonawanda Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Assn. and Grove Street Christian Church. Lyle was also a frequent bowler. A private Prayer Service and burial in Elmlawn Cemetery was held with Lyle's immediate family. A Celebration of Lyle's Life will be conducted in Grove Street Christian Church at a later date and time to be announced.
