The marriage of Miss Juanita
Marie Buchwald, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George L. Buchwald of
Lisbon Ave., to Clayton S. Schober,
son of Samuel Schober of Schreck
Ave., took place on Saturday, November
4th, in the rectory of S t
Joseph's Church. The Rev. Karl
Benn officiated.
Wearing a whits moire floor
length gown with fitted bodice,
sweetheart neckline and gathered
skirt and fingertip veil falling
from a coronet of orange blossoms,
the bride carried a 'bouquet of
white rosea and chrysanthemums.
Miss Margaret Mary Thompson,
maid of honor, wore a dubonnet
velveteen gown fashioned like that
of the bride. Her bouquet was of
rose pompons. The best man was
Harry Scheller.
A breakfast for the immediate
families was served at Lyons Tea
Room. After a wedding trip to
New York City and Ridley Park,
Pa., Mr. and Mrs. Schober will be
at home December 1st in Virgil
Ave.

George L. Buchwald. 64, of 112
Lisbon Ave., a member of the Police
Department 25 years when he
retired because of ill health in
1940 died yesterday.
Bora at Lakeview, Mr. Buchwald
Joined the police in 1915 and
was assigned through most of his
service to the Central Park Station.
He was promoted to acting
detective several years after his
appointment and four years prior
to his retirement he was active in
the motorcycle squad.
fie was an honorary member of
the Erie Club and member of the
Police & Benevolent Association.
Surviving are his wife, Juana
Buchwald: three sons. Arthur A.,
Berlin Heights, O., George C. of
DeUure, Wilmington, Del., and Edwin
J, Buffalo; two daughters,
Mrs. Clayton Schrober and Mrs.
Helen Wood; two sisters, Mrs. John
Hillman. Buffalo, and Miss Julia
Buchwald, Erie, Pa., and three
brothers, Herman C, Robert W.,
and Edward Buchwald, St. Petersburg,
Fla.
Funeral services will be held
Monday at 2 p. m. at the Kenneth
M. Kelly Funeral Home. 387 East
Vtica St. Burial will be in Pine Hill.
