Loretta M. McCleary. 73. of 119
Hopson St.. Utica, died Tuesday. June
30.1987, at her home, unexpectedly.
She was born August 13. 1914, in
Utica. the daughter of Michael and
Ida Vaeth Buckley. Mrs. McCleary
attended Utica Free Academy, and
Albany State Teachers College, where
she received a Masters Decree in
Library Science. On June 30.1941, she
married Charles E. McCleary in St.
Agnes Church, Utica, and has resided
here all of her life. Mrs. McCleary
was a teacher and a librarian at Uticca
Free Academy retiring in 1982. She
was a member of the Church of Our
Lady of Lourdes, the Mohawk Valley
Hunt Club, and the New York State
Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving, besides her husband,
Charles, is one daughter and son-in
law, Maureen E. and Roger C. Reath.

Funeral services will be Thursday
at 9 o'clock from the Quinn, Ryan &
Nunn Inc. Funeral Home, 2212 Gene-
see St., under the direction of Christo-
pher J. McGrath and 9:30 from the
Church of Our Lady of Lourdes where
a Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated by the Rev. Msgr. H..
Charles Sewall. Interment will be in
UNREADABLE

Michael Buckley, 82, of -885
Bleecker, died Mar. 12, 1953 at
his home after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 28. 1870 in Macroon.
County Cork, Ireland, he
waa *- son of Timothy and Mary
Callahan Buckley. In 1892 he came
to this country and settled In this
ivicinity. For many years he was
in business for himself as a tailor.
For 22 years he had operated a
restaurant in UUca, retiring many
years ago. On Oct. 5. 1898 he married
Ida C. Vaeth in St. Marys
Church. Mr. Buckley was a member
of St Agnes' Church and
Holy Name Society
He leaves his wife, four sons,
John C.,, Eugene M., W. Gerald
and Timothy J. Buckley, all of
Utica; two daughters, Miss Mary
E. Buckley and Mrs. Charles Mc-
Cleary, both of Utica; one sister,
Mrs. Hannah Williams, Ireland;
eight grandchildren and two great
grandchildren, and several nieces
and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a m.
tomorrow from the Ortner Fu-
neral Home, 130 Eagle and at
9:30 a.m. from St. Agnes Church
where a solemn requiem high
Mass will be offered. Burial will
be in Calvary Cemetery.

Oswego St., Tuesday from the Ortner
Funeral Home and from Our Lady of
Lourdes Church with a Mass of the
Resurrection citered by the Rev. Donald
F. Karlen. Bearers Robert Farnum,
Walter Way, John Stepanick and
Nicholals Deconde. Burial was in
Calvary Cemetery with absoution by
Father Karlen.

Bleecker St., died Saturday in
the Genesee Nursing Home.
She was bom in Utica,
daughter of Christopher and
Elizabeth Fleishman Vaeth. In
1898, she was married to Michale
M. Buckley. He died in
1953.
She was a member of Our_
Lady of Lourdes Church.
She is survived by two daughters,
Miss Mary E. Buckley
with whom she had resided and
Mrs. Charles (Loretta)
McCleary of Utica and a son,
Eugene Buckley of Utica.
The funeral will be at 8:30 tomorrow
from the Ortner Funeral
Home and at 9 from Our
Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial
wiol be in Calvary Cemetery.
