Donald W. Buddenhagen, 79, of Vestal, died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Wednesday, February 20, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann Buddenhagen, Vestal; a daughter, Paula J. Gilbert, and dear friend, Geoffrey Rubin, Elmira; a son and daughter-in-law, Brent W. and Harris Buddenhagen, Clarksville, Tenn.; a grandson, Cooper E. Gilbert, Syracuse, N.Y.; two sisters, Edith Newenhouse, Honesdale, Pa., and Irene Turner, Sussex, N.J.; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and very supportive brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donald and Kathy Dibble, Vestal and Lola and Harry Thorpe, N.C. Budd was a retired NY Telephone Company employee, retiring in 1978 after 34 years of service and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers. He was also an active volunteer in his community, delivering books and taking cancer patients for treatments. Memorial services will be held Saturday 1 p.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott with Reverend Mike Willis, pastor of his church, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Saturday afternoon from 12:15 p.m. until service time at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the Vestal United Methodist Church, 328 Main St., Vestal, N.Y. 13850, or to the charity of one's choice.

Son of the late Frederick Buddenhagen and lived there all his live.

86, of Wecome Lake, Pa., died
Tuesday, September 10, 1962 in
Honesdale, Pa., after a short ill-
ness.
Born at Welcome Lake, Decem-
ber 11, 1876, she was the daughter
of Ernest and Henrietta Knaack
Gevert. She was the widow of
Rudolph C. Buddenhagen.
Surviving are a brother, Wil-
liam Gevert of Hillcrest; five sons,
Fred of Cortland, Henry J. of
Mohawk, Charles A. of Honesdale,
Pa. Paul of Shohola, Pa.,, and
Donald W.. of Vestal; seven
daughters, Mrs. Emelie Rogers of
Hallstead, Pa., Mrs. Laura Brick-
man of Atco, Pa.,, Mrs.. May
Marshall and Mrs. Edith Newen-
house, both of Honesdale, Pa.,
Mrs. Eleanor Mitterwager, of Cal-
licoon, Mrs.. Mildred Cosgrove of
Welcome Lake, Pa., and Mrs.
Irene Turner of Sussex, J.J.;
several nieces and nephews; 50
grandchildren; and 49 great-
grandchildren.
Funeral services are today,
Thursday at 2:00 p.m at the
Rasmussen Sons, Inc., Funeral
Home, Narrowsburg. The Rev.
Michael C. Shyna officiating. In-
terment will be in Glen Cove
Cemetery, Narrowsburg.
