Obituary of Sherry Cook

Sherry L. Cook passed away December 19, 2016 surrounded by her loving family, in Niagara Hospice House. Born in Lockport July 26, 1951 she is the daughter of Glen Cooper and late Clara (Pernet) Cooper. Sherry was a graduate of Barker High School and worked as a nurses aide for several years at Newfane Rehab & Health Care Center and also Mount View Health Care Facility. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends, she also enjoyed fishing, going on vacation, digging for precious stones and absolutely loved taking care of her many flowers and plants.


Besides her father Sherry is also survived by her husband Robert Cook; mother of Christopher (Krissy) Budziszewski and Jeffrey (Devon) Budziszewski; grandmother of Emilee Bisher and Taylor Budziszewski; sister of Glenda (David) Hodgkinson, Diane Murphy, Wayne (Ellen) Cooper, Roxanne (Doug) Fitch, Mark (Vera) Cooper, Glenn Cooper, and Boyd (Lynn) Cooper; in-laws of Donald (Virginia) Cook, Jr., Carol Wiswell, Jean (Roy) Sax, Kenneth (Ellen) Cook, and Linda (Roy) Clare; also several nieces and nephews.

Glenn R. Cooper passed away September 15, 2020 in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.  Born June 29, 1927 in Lockport he was the son of John R. and Leola (Rosenberg) Cooper.  Glenn served in the US Army from 1945-1948 being awarded the WW II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal.  He worked in construction for Local 91 out of Niagara Falls, NY for 50 years.  Besides his parents Glenn is also predeceased by his wife Clara Mae (Prennett) Cooper, daughter Sherry Cook, and siblings Esther Cooper and Margaret (Walter) Halflet, and William “Butch” Cooper.
Glenn is survived by his children Glenda (David) Hodgkins, Roxann (Douglas) Fitch, Wayne (Ellen) Cooper, Diane Cooper, Mark Cooper, Boyde (Lynn) Cooper, and Glenn Cooper, III; son-in-law Robert Cook; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, Sept. 18th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
