Buffalo NY Courier Express - 12/30/1931

Edward M. Buehl 67 years old. a
retired grocer, committed suicide in
his home 373 Bryant street, yesterday
by shooting himself in the temple.
His wife. Clara R. Buehl, heard the
shot and found his body on the floor
of a bedroom. She told Medical Ex-
aminer Charles E. Long that her hus-
band had been despondent over fi-
nancial reverses.
Mr. Buehl was a life-long resident
of Buffalo. For several years he con-
ducted a retail groeery business in
Washington street. Inear Chippewa.
He retired three years ago. He is sur-
vived by his wife, a daughter. Edna
Buehl. and two brothers. Henry P.
and Charles A. Buehl.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis A. Buehl, of Buf-
falo, gave a reception last Thursday evening
to Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Buehl in honor
of their return from their wedding tour. The
voting couple received several beautiful and
costly presents. Guests were present from
Rochester, Albion, Suspension -Bridge, and
other points

Louis A.-Buehl a well:known_citizen of
Buffalo, died Friday morning. A son of the
deceased married a daughter of-J.Weidenmann,
Suspension Bridge, and has many
friends and acquaintances in this village.
