Notes:

Mary (Napolitano) Parenti, 76, of Lewiston, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence under the care of homecare aides and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Sam and Mary (Oliverio) Napolitano. Mary attended local schools and graduated from the State University of New York at Brockport where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1962. On July 4, 1964 she married Jerry D. Parenti at Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls. Mary was employed by the Niagara Falls Board of Education as an elementary school teacher until retiring in 2000. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, following politics and gardening. She also enjoyed using computers and everyday technology. Above all, Mary's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of fifty one years, Mary is survived by four children, Gary Parenti, Karen (Gordon) Porterfield, Michael (Elaine) Parenti and Lisa (Michael) Nunzio; three grandchildren Travis Porterfield, Allison Nunzio and Nicholas Nunzio; one brother, Marco (Gail) Napolitano; one sister, Lena (Ronald) Jones and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her homecare aides Kyle Minervino, April Daniels, April Dix, Lisa Price and Bobby Jo Czernicki for their care and compassion.
There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services and entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY were held at the convenience of the family.
