    Notes:

    Vincent J. "Buff" Buffamonte, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away in Omaha, with his daughter by his side.

    Coach Buff, as he was known, was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Vincent and Theresa (Martino) Buffamonte.

    He was the oldest of three siblings. He graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with a Masters in History and Physical Education. He coached football and baseball for 35 years, setting numerous school records. Among the schools where he coached were Niagara Falls Jr. High, Lubbock High, Lubbock Estacado, Brazosport, Little Cypress Mauriceville, McAllen, Weslaco, Texas City, Livingston, Cleveland and Dallas Kimball. He was also well-known on the local bowling circuit and was a member of the PBA for two years before succumbing to a knee injury.

    Coach Buff was preceded in death by his parents, Sgt. Vincent and Theresa; best friend, Jimmy McGee, all of Niagara Falls; grandson, Kieran of Omaha.

    He is survived by son, Brian of College Station, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Buffy and Bill Farrell of Omaha, NE; son, Brooks of League City, TX; grandchildren, Breely, Brityn and Kinley, all of Texas; brothers, Tom (Ofelia) of Brownsville, TX, and Ed of Niagara Falls, NY.

    For their undying love and friendship throughout Coach Buff's life, a special thank you to: James Bell of Lubbock, TX; Armando Sedano of Houston, TX; Lorna Paris of Gardenia, CA; Steve Stewart and family. Coach Buff left behind a phenomenal legacy and will be remembered by the thousands of lives he touched through his coaching, teaching and by being a true example of a man of God.

    The family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, from 5 to 7 PM at the West Center Chapel, 7805 West Center Road, in Omaha, NE, followed by services at 7 PM, at the chapel. Memorials to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Omaha.

    Vincent Buffamonte, 37. of 574
    76th St., a night shift worker at
    the Du Pont plant, died suddenly
    at his home last night (Apri.l 6,
    1955), shortly before he was to
    have gone to work.
    He had decided to rest for a
    while before leaving and was
    found unconscious by his wife when
    she went to arouse him about 11:30
    p.m. He was pronounced dead
    by a physician after a Fire Depart-
    ment ihhalator squad tried for 10
    minutes to revive him, Cause of
    death was undetermined.
    Mr. Buffamonte had served with
    the U. S. Marine Corps during
    World War II, and was a mem-
    ber of the Marine Corps League.
    He was a native of this city and
    had worked at Du Pont for the
    last eight years. He was a mem-
    ber of both the Du Pont Bowling
    League and the Industrial Bowling
    League.
    Surviving are his wife,- Mrs.
    Teresa Buffamonte; three sons.
    Vincent Jr., Thomas and Edward
    Buffamonte; two sisters, Miss Stella
    and Miss Josephine Buffamonte,
    and a brother, Dominick Buffa-
    monte all of this city,
    Funeral services will be held at
    the SpaIlino Funeral Home at 9
    a.m. and at- the Prince of Peace
    Church at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph's
    Cemetery.

    of requiem at St. Joseph's church at 9
    o'clock, at which the Rev. Alphonse J.
    Bernardo was the celebrant, the Rev.
    George O'Neil deacon and the Rev.
    Joseph Harrington sub-deacon, inter-
    ment was made in St. Joseph's cem-
    etery. Six friends of the family acted
    as pallbearers.

    Mrs, Rosina Buffamonte, a resi-
    dent of this city for the last 46 years,
    died yesterday at her home, 628
    Nineteenth street, after a long ill
    ness. She was a native of Italy.
    Mrs. Buffamonte was a member
    of the San Calogero and Madonna
    del Carmine societies.
    Surviving are three sons. Samuel,
    Dominic A. and Vincent J. Buffa
    monte; three daughters, Mary,
    Stella and Josephine, all of this city;
    a sister, Mrs. Mary Paneplnto, this
    city; a brother, Luigi Cumbo. Italy,
    and three grandchildren. She was
    the wife of the late Gaetano Buffa-
    monte.

    MARINE SERGEANT AND HIS BRIDE-Platoon Sergeant and
    Mrs. Vincent J. Buffamonte, who exchanged marriage vows at a
    double ring ceremony at St. Joseph's church August 5. The Right
    Rev. Paschal-J. Tronolone performed the ceremony. The bride is
    the former Miss Theresa A. Martino, daughter of Mrs. Anna Martina,
    of 644 Twenty-fifth street, and the late Mr. Joseph Martino. Sergeant
    Buffamonte, who has Just returned from two years overseas duty In
    the Pacific theater of war, has been reassigned at New River, North
    Carolina, as an Instructor. He Is the son of Mrs. Rosa Buffamonte,
    of .Nineteenth street, this city.
