Wheatfield - Ersilio N. "Buff" Buffone, 59, of Tawny Drive, died Tuesday (Sept. 18, 1990) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.

Buffone was a Niagara Falls native and a 1949 graduate of the former Trott Vocational High School.

Buffone was a supervisor at the Candella Construction Co. for 30 years and a member of the East Side Business Association.

He was the son of Alexander and Marie (Alfano) Buffone and brother of the late Oswald Buffone.

Mr. Buffone is survived by his wife, Grace M. (Schipiani) Buffone; two daughters, Mary Melloni of Wheatfield, and Elizabeth Lynn Costa of Niagara Falls, a son, Nicholas C. Buffone of Niagara Falls; four stepsons, John LeBar of Lewiston, Glenn Shepherd of Denver, and Clifford Shepherd and Richard Shepherd, both of the Town of Niagara; two stepdaughters, Barbara Elkins and Linda Doust, both of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Joseph E. Buffone of Youngstown and Eugene A. Buffone of Niagara Falls; and 21 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th Street. A parish biblical wake service will be held at 3:30 pm today at the funeral home.

Services will be held at 8:45 am Friday at the funeral home and at 9:15 am in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Avenue.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Contributions to the American Heart Association are acceptable as tribute.

Katherine “Katie” Buffone, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on July 6, 2019 at Our Lady of Peace Health Care Facility in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of George and Catherine (Harrigan) DiSalvio.
Katherine was raised in Niagara Falls, graduated from Niagara Falls High School and later earned an associate’s degree from Niagara County Community College.  She was employed as a service assistant for the Niagara County Office for the Aging, and later as a manager for the Niagara Falls Tourist and Information Center.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crafts.
Katherine is survived by her children, Mary Melloni, Elizabeth (Jake) Putzak, and Nicholas (Evelyn) Buffone; cherished grandmother of Joseph (Karen) Costa, Natalie Sansivero, Anthony (Rebecca) Tantillo, Angela Tantillo, Victor Melloni, Mary (Dominick) Tallarico, Nicholas (Kailey) Buffone and Nicole Buffone, Great-grandmother of  ten great-grandchildren, predeceased by a great-grandson Antonio Tallarico, also predeceased by her beloved companion, Patrick E. Burns who passed away in May of 2018.  She was the sister of the late Arlene Scuteri.
Visitation will be held on Thursday morning July 11th from 10:00 to 11:30 am at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where a celebration of life service will begin at 11:30am. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
