    Ruth Marie (Meier) Kandt, 96, wife of the late Walter A. Kandt, died Tuesday, May 10, in Parker, Colo. She was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Lockport, N.Y., the daughter of Herman and Clara (Janke) Meier. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lockport. She is survived by daughters Barbara Kandt of Bellevue, Ky., Karen (Mark) Meyer of Parker, Colo., and Susan Kandt of Bellevue, Ky., by sons Robert (Catherine) Kandt of Camarillo, Calif., and Charles (LuAnn) Kandt of Port Orange, Fla., by grandchildren Stephanie (Jory) Long of Keystone, Colo., Kimberly Meyer of New York, Kate (Dan) Migala of Chicago, Laura Hughes (Bill Julin III) of Pittsburgh, Sara (Matt) Galyon of Louisville, Ky., Kristin Hughes of Lexington, Ky., Carrie Kandt of Parker, Colo., Claire Hughes of Berkeley, Calif., Nicki Kandt of Port Orange, Fla., and Benjamin Kandt of Lexington, Ky., by great-grandchildren Mya Byrd, Asher Galyon, Jacob Julin, Abby Long and William Migala and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters.

    Mr. Kandt was a former mem-
    ber of the Board of Directors of
    the YMCA; a member and past
    director of the Erie-Niagara Fu-
    neral Directors Assn.; a member

    the Lutheran Laymen's League;
    and treasurer of the City Bowling
    Assn.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
    Mary Boye Kandt; two sons, Walter
    A. and Karl W., both of Lockport;
    one daughter, Mrs. Walter
    C. Hanson, Mouston. Wis.; two
    sisters, Mrs. Harold W. Henning,
    Orlando, Fla.; and Mrs. Harold J.
    Meier, Lockport; one brother. Edward
    W., Lockport; eight grandchildren;
    and several nieces and
    nephews.

    Mrs. Mary A. Kandt, 69, of
    256 Willow St., widow pf Otto
    W. Kandt, former partner in
    the Prudden & Kandt Funeral
    Home, died Wednesday (Aug.
    28, 1968) at Hilltop Nursing
    Home, Gasport, after a long
    illness.
    She was born March 11, 1899
    in Lancaster, a daughter of the
    late Henry and Mary Heinz
    Boye, and had resided in Lockport
    for 65 years. Mr. Kandt
    died Nov. 6, 1956.
    Mrs. Kandt was a member of
    Trinity Lutheran Church, it's
    Ladies Aid Society and Lutheran
    Women's Missionary League.
    Surviving are a daughter,
    Mrs. Walter (Helen) Hanson of
    Mauston, W;s.; two sons, Walter
    A. Kandt of Lockport and
    Karl W. Kandt of Hilton; one
    brother, Edward H. Boye of
    Buffalo and a sister, Miss
    Emma F. Boye of Rochester;
    also 12 grandchildren and several
    nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call today from
    7 to 9 p.m. and from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at
    the Prudden & Kandt Funeral
    Home, 242 Genesee St., where
    funeral services will be held at
    11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev, Ernest
    E. Heuer, pastor of Trinity
    Lutheran Church, will officiate.
    Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran
    Cemetery.

    morning, October 19, 1935. Husband
    of Mary (nee Heintz), father of Edward
    H. of Buffalo, John C, of
    Hollywood, Cal., Frank J., Victor R.,
    and Mrs. otto w Kandt of this city,
    Emma P., of Medina, N. Y. brother
    of Mrs. Dora Greenwald of Buffalo,

    Henry Boye, 70, retired farmer,
    died at 8 o'clock this morning at his
    home, 364 Willow street. He had been
    in failing health for several months.
    Mr. Boye was born March 9, 1859,
    in Mecklenburg, Germany, but came
    t o this country at the age of fifteen
    years. He settled in the town of Lancaster,
    Brie county, and lived there
    until 1883 when he moved to the
    Coomer road, Niagara county. In
    1904 he retired and came to live in
    this city.
    Surviving an his widow, Mrs.
    Mary Heintz Boye; four sons and
    two daughters, Edward H. Boye of
    Buffalo, John C. Boye of Hollywood,
    Calif., Mrs. Otto W. Kandt, Frank
    J. and Victor R. Boye, all of Lockport,
    and Emma S. Boye of Medina;
    nine grandchildren and one sister
    Mrs. Dora Greenwald of Buffalo.

    One of Lockport's oldest citizens
    d;ed Wednesday, five months
    short of her 100th birthday.
    Mrs. Mary Heintz Boye, 99, died
    at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
    Otto W. Kandt, 256 Willow St., after
    a short illness.
    Born in Germany on Nov. 16,
    1862, Mrs. Boye came to this country
    in 1882. Her family settled
    first in Lancaster and then moved
    to a farm on the Coomer Road,
    Newfane, before coming to Lockport
    in 1904. She was the daughter
    of Christian and Maria Niece
    Heintz.
    Ever since then, Mrs. Boye had
    lived in various houses, but always
    on Willow Street.
    Mrs. Boye was the oldest member
    of the English Lutheran
    Church and a former member of
    many organizations within t h e
    church.
    The widow of Henry Boye who
    died in 1935, Mrs. Boye Is survived
    bv one son, Edward H. Boye of
    Buffalo; two daughters, Mrs
    Kandt and Miss Emma F. Boye
    of Rochester; seven grandchildren;
    14 great - grandchildren;
    several nieces and a nephew.
    She was the mother of the late
    John C Frank J., Victor R. and
    Albert J. Boye.
    Friends may call at the Prudden
    and Kandt Funeral Home, 242
    Genesee St., beginning at 7 p.m.
    today, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
    p.m. tomorrow. Private funeral
    services conducted by the Rev.
    Robert Heffner of the First English
    Lutheran Church will be held
    at the funeral home Saturday.
    Mrs. Boye will be buried in
    Wright's Corners Cemetery.
