    Of Grand Island, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 17, 1953, the son of the late Ted and Mary (Rogus) Jenkins.

    Mr. Jenkins graduated from both LaSalle High School and SUNY at Fredonia.
    He was President of Thruway Fasteners for over 30 years. Mr. Jenkins enjoyed spending time with his family and at his cottage in Henderson Harbor. He was an avid sportsman.

    Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife of 39 years Michele [Lemke] Jenkins, two daughters Tessa (Glenn) Heyer and Maggie (Josh) Leffler, two grandchildren Henry and Finley, two brothers Paul Jenkins and Dr. Ted (Kathy) Jenkins and many nieces and nephews.

    Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Stephen Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY, with Rev. Paul Nagaro officiating.

    LEWISTON — Paul G. Lemke, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at his residence, under the care of Niagara Hospice. He was born in the Town of Wheatfield on April 8, 1920, the son of Judge Frederick and Matilda Lemke.

    Mr. Lemke was truly proud of his ancestry, place of birth and family. He served with the U.S. Army Air Force, with campaigns in air offensives in Europe, Ardennes, Central Europe, Egypt, Libya, Naples, Foggia, Northern France, Rhineland, Rome, Arno, Sicily, Tunisia, air combat Balkans.

    After the service he was employed by Buffalo Bolt Co. for 17 years, leaving their employ to form Thruway Sales Co. and Thruway Fasteners, Inc., in July of 1959, where he continued as a consultant up until his death. The success of this company is history.

    Mr. Lemke was Past Board Member and President of National Fasteners Distributors Association, past Director of National Wholesale Association, elected to the Fastener Hall of Fame in 1983. He served on the Board of Governors and was President of Niagara Falls Country Club, also a Board Member of Artpark and Council Niagara University.

    Mr. Lemke was the husband of the late Lorraine (McIntyre) Lemke, who died in August of 1964.

    He is survived by one daughter, Michele L. (Peter) Jenkins of Grand Island, NY; a daughter-in-law, Bonny Lemke; his companion, Jean Walker. He is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lemke was the father of the late Paul G. Lemke and brother of the late Alvin Lemke.

    To a host of my friends and lovers, and especially my G.A.P., it has been a pleasure and I will save a place for you.

    The family will be present on Thursday from 4-7 PM at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 915 Onieda Street, Lewiston, NY, with the Rev. Thomas R. Mason and Rev. Milan J. Slahor officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

    LEMKE - Mathilda M. (Tillie) Lemke, 76. of 2904 Niagara Falls Blvd., Town of Wheatfield. Tuesday (Feb. 27, 1973). Mrs. Lemke was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society of the church, the St. Johnsburg Fire Co., Ladies Auxiliary, Lutheran Service Society. Women's Missionary League and the Senior Citizens of the Town of Wheatfield She is survived by her husband, Fred A. Lemke; two sons, Paul G., of Lewiston. N. Y„ and Alvin J. Lemke of the Town of Wheatfield; four grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; a sister, Mrs Esther Krull of the Town of Wheatfield; three brothers, Walter A., of the Town of Wheatfield. Fred of Florida and Carl W. Schulmeister of Seattle, Wash. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St.. at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda from 7 to 9 this evening and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.. the Rev. Albert W. Bahr will officiate. Interment St. John Lutheran Cemetery. If so desired, memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund.
