    Richard R. Forsey of Lockport, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Born on August 29, 1934, in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Edith (Duxbury) Forsey. Dick graduated from Lockport High School and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was employed for 30 years at Buffalo State College as Associate Director of Sponsored Programs, retiring in 1999.A member of Lockport Alliance Church, he served as Assistant Treasurer. He also was a member of the Lockport Optimist club – a founder of Lockport arts & crafts show, served as chairman of the Lockport Town Planning Board, President of the Cottages at Hidden Lake Homeowners Association, member of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army and a former Scoutmaster of Troop 6 and Merit Badge counselor for Troop 23. He enjoyed being with family, traveling, reading and woodworking.Predeceased by his wife, Judith A. Forsey and his brother, Keith Forsey. He is survived by five daughters, Lynn (Keven) Seaver-Forsey, Jessica (William) Henshaw, Donna (Kevin) Czaja, Christina (Steven) Lamarco and Wanda (Timothy) Hanley; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two nephews.Friends may call on Monday April 1st from 4-7 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd at 10 AM at Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Road, Lockport, NY. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.     Miss Barbara L. Buhr became the bride of Richard
    R Forsey Saturday afternoon at 3:30 in the First Pres-
    byterian Church. The bride was given in marriage by
    her uncle, Ralph L. Buri. Vases of white gladioli and
    pompons and white tapers in candelabra enhanced
    chancel.
    Tbe Wedding music was played
    by the Bell Choir, with James
    Todkiil as soloist, and Mrs. Fer-
    ris Fraser at director - organist.
    The bride was a member of the
    Chancel Choir for the past sev-
    eral years.
    Dr. Stephen E. Palmer per-
    formed for the daughter of
    Mrs. Walter C. Buhr of 33 Corin-
    thia St. and the late Mr. Buhr.
    The grooms parents are Mr. and
    Mrs. Frank Forsey of 107 Grant
    St
    The bride's gown was fash-
    ioned of silk organza featuring a
    scoop scalloped neckline, long
    pointed sleeves and a basque bod-
    ice trimmed with Chantilly lace.
    A redingote diagonal panel,
    edged with scalloped Chantilry
    lace, disguished the floor-length
    bouffant skirt. She wore a single
    strand of pearls sod earrings,
    gifts of the groom.
    RHINESTONE TIARA
    A iwHOtiul French illusion bri-
    dal veil was caught to a ti a r a of
    seed pearls sod rhinesrones. She
    carried sa arm crescent bouquet
    of white roses sad stephanotis
    with s shower of white satin rib-
    bon.
    Mrs, Alan Smith was matron
    of honor. Her gown was of white
    lace over orchid taffeta with
    scoop neckline, cap sleeves and
    an orchid satin bow with stream-
    ers down the front of die baller-
    fna-length skirt. She wore a white
    chiffon picture hat with orchid
    atrasmsra, sad carried a white
    fireside basket of yellow sweet
    heart roses sad stephanotis.
    Miss Cynthia Saraf and Mrs
    Allen Wilson of Newfane were
    bridesmaids. Junior brides-
    maid was Miss Cheryl Ann
    Smith, cousin of die bride. The
    bridesmaids were attired like
    that of the matron of honor in
    cqua, sad carried white fireside
    boskets of golden rapture roses
    sod yellow sweetheart roses. The
    junior bridesmaid wore a dress
    of aqua embroidered silk organ-
    za with square neckline, cap
    sleeves sod bouffant batlerina-
    length skirt. She wore a wreath
    of aqua lilies of the valley with
    satin streamers down the back
    and carried a white fireside
    basket of yellow sweetheart roses.
    Keith Forsey was his brother's
    best man. The guests were seat
    ed by Howard Newman, cousin
    of the bride, Alan Smith, Charles
    Eick of LaSalle, Ronad Gas-
    coyne and junior usher Thomas
    Parker of Ransomville, cousinn of
    the groom.
    SWEETHEART ROSES
    For her daughter's wedding,
    Mrs.
    Buhr chose a pale pink lace
    and organza gown with matching
    accessories and a corsage of
    white sweetheart roses and ste-
    phanotis. The groom's mother
    favored a gown of beige lace over
    taffeta, beige accessories and a
    corsage of yellow sweetheart
    roses.
    About 250 guests attended the
    reception at 4:30 in the Lox-Plaza
    Hotel. The attendants' baskets,
    candles in crystal holders and a
    vase arrangement of sterling sil-
    ver roses decorated the bride's
    table. A separate table held the
    four-tiered wedding cake, topped
    with champagne glasses filled
    with miniature sweetheart roses.
    Serving at the punch bowls were
    the Misses Dorothy Holtz, Jane
    Haseley, Joyce Nagel. Christine
    Gentile and Susan Holoombe.
    The couple chose die Thousand
    Islands sad the Adirondack
    Mountains for their wedding
    trip.
    As the bride left with the
    groom, she was wearing a mauve
    green dacron dress, black and
    white accessories and a corsage
    of white sweetheart roses and
    stephanotis. When they return,
    the newlyweds win make their
    home at 33 Corinthia St.
    Out-of-town guests were from
    Akron, Attica. Buffalo, Canada
    Chicago, Ebnira, Niagara Falls,
    North Tonawanda, Ransom
    ville, Rochester, West Seneca and
    Wilson.
    The bride was graduated from
    Lockport Senior High School and
    the groom was graduated from
    Rochester Institute of Techol-
    ogy.
