    Before an altar decorated with
    green foliage of ferns and palms
    in Divinity Hall Chapel, Capitol
    University, Columbus, Ohio,
    Frances Esther Baughman of Co-
    lumbus became the bride of Mel
    vin L. Buike, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Edward Buike, 150 Stenzel street,
    North Tonawanda.
    The double ring ceremony serv
    ice was performed on Feb. 10, at
    4:30 p. m. by the Rev. Harry E.
    Boyer, pastor of Grace Evan-
    gelical Lutheran Church, Jack-
    son Center, Ohio.
    The bride, given in marriage by
    her cousin, wore an ivory duchess
    satin gown, fashioned with petal
    neckline, fitted bodice, embroid
    ered with tiny boy-knots, long
    sleeves falling in points over the
    wrists and a full skirt forming a
    circular train. Her finger tip veil
    of illusion was caught with a
    halo of seed pearls and orange
    blossoms. She carried a cascade
    bouquet of white carnations cen-
    tered with white orchids. She
    wore pearls, the gift of the groom.
    Miss Marian Belt was the bride's
    maid of honor and only attend-
    ant. She was gowned in aqua
    taffeta, with a cascade of ruffles
    edging the bracelet length sleeves,
    a sweetheart neckline and ruffles
    extending down the back of the
    full skirt. She wore a matching
    finger-tip veil falling from a Juliet
    cap and carried a bouquet of
    yellow jonquils.
    Mr. Wayne Rife acted as best
    man for the bridegroom.
    Following the ceremony, a re-
    ception was held at the home of
    the bride's mother.
    Mrs. Buike attended CapiJtol
    University and is a graduate of
    the College of Home Economics
    at Ohio State University. She is
    a member of Omega Chapter of
    Omicrom Nu, Home Economics'
    honorary society. She was em-
    ployed as a teacher with the Co-
    lumbus Nursery schools.
    Mr. Buike attended Capitol Uni-
    versity and graduated from the
    College of Engineering at Ohio
    State University. He is associated
    with the research department of
    the Carborundum Company at Ni-
    agara Falls.
    The young couple are now at
    home at 429 Wheatfield street,
    North Tonawanda
