    TO WED - Mr. and Mrs.
    Thomas J. Kearney, Leonia,
    N. J., have announced the en-
    gagement of their daughter, Jean
    Marie, to Lt. (jg.) Edward
    Joseph Buja, USNR, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Peter Buja, East Falls
    street. Announcement was made
    at a family party at the Kearney
    home. Miss Kearney is a grad-
    uate of Holy Family high school
    Union city, N. J., and attended
    Eastman School of Business,
    New York City. She is employed
    in the New York office of the
    Metropolitan Life Insurance com-
    pany. Lt. Buja is a graduate of
    Niagara Falls high school and
    Holy Cross college, Worcester,
    Mass. He has been in the service
    for two years and is serving
    aboard the destroyer, USS Heer-
    man.

    The Madonna R. C. Church,
    Fort Lee, N.J. was the scene this
    morning of the wedding of Miss
    Jean Marie Kearney, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Keaarney,
    Leonia, N.J., to Mr. Edward
    Joseph Buja,, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Peter Buja, East Falls St.
    Given in marriage by her father,
    the bride was attired in a floor-
    length gown of antique silk taf-
    feta and a finter-tip-length veil
    of imported Belgium lace.
    Preceding the bride was her
    maid-of-honor, iss Theresa Sou-
    ciie, New York City, gowned inna
    waltz-length frock of blue taffeta.
    The gored skirt fell from a pleated
    bodice and waist. Gowned sim-
    ilarly were the bridesmaids, Miss
    Elsa Wagenmann and Miss Hilda
    Wagenmann, both of Fort Lee.
    Mr. Robert Rydelek,, this city,
    was best man. Mr. James E. Kear-
    ney, Ridgefield Park, N.J, an d
    Mr. William R.. Kearney, Washing-
    ton, D.C., brothers of the brie,
    were the ushers.
    A reception was held after the
    ceremony a Kohler's Swiss Chalet,
    Rochelle Park, N.J. After a wed-
    ding trip to California, Mr. and
    Mrs. Buja will reside in Boston,
    Mass., where Mr. Buja will enter
    Harvard School of Business in the
    fall.
