    Janice M. Bukowski, 87, of North Tonawanda, Saturday (October 27, 2018) in Northgate Nursing Home. Mrs. Bukowski was born in Lockport, New York on February 3, 1931 to Ralph and Edith (Baehr) Aiken. Mrs. Bukowski was predeceased by her husband Walter J. Bukowski, Jr. who died in May of 2017. 
    Janice is survived by her children Holly (David) McCollum, Jon (Janet) and Tim Bukowski, sister of Robert Aiken and the late Lyle Aiken, also surviving are 7 grand children and nieces and nephews. 
    Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.

    MISS JANICE MARILYN AIKEN'S forthcoming marriage to
    Walter Bukowski Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bukowski of

    Mrs. Ralph Aiken of 26 Linwood Ave. The wedding will be
    solemnised July 14 in St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

    In a double ring ceremony performed July 15 in St.
    Mark's Lutheran Church, Miss Janice Aiken, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Aiken of 28 Linwood Ave., became the
    bride of Mr. Walter Bukowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
    Bukowski Sr. of 292 Shartle Place. The Rev. Paul Fretthold
    officiated.
    Cases filled with white carna-
    tions decorated the altar of the
    church and backets of white
    gladoli, larkspur and baby
    breath with palms and ferns and
    tall tapers in seven branch can-
    delbra formed the chancel back-
    ground for the service.
    Mrs. Wallace Senechal presid-
    ed at the organ and ac-
    companied Mr. Martin Brauer
    who sang The Lord's Prayer and
    Because.
    The bride, given in marriage
    by her father, chose a Victorian
    styled gown of French lace over
    taffeta and her fingertip veil of
    illusion was attached to a crown
    of seed pearls. She carried a
    cascade bouquet of white roses.
    Miss Mary Dale Barbour,
    maid of honor, wore a gown of
    yellow lace over taffeta and carried
    a cascade bouquet of Talisman
    roses. Miss Marcia Leverentz
    and Miss Shirley Lehman,
    cousins of the bride, bridesmaids
    wore similar gowns of
    green and pink lace. Miss Leverentz
    carried yellow roses and
    pink roses harmonized with
    Miss Lehman's costume.
    Junior bridesmaids, Miss Marjorie
    Ann Aiken and Miss Judith
    Heerdt. dressed alike in white
    flowered organdy gowns over pink
    taffeta, carried baskets of pink
    and blue garden flowers. Cheryl
    Louise Aiken, in a white organdy
    over blue taffeta, was the flower
    girl. She carried pink roses.
    Mr. Richard Warda attended
    the bridegrom as best man and
    ushers were Messrs. Stuart Carney
    and James Buskis.
    A sea green nylon dress with
    white accessories was chosen by
    the bride's mother and the bridegroom's
    mother was attired in
    beige lace with matching accessories.
    Corsages of roses completed
    their ensembles.
    A wedding dinner was served
    for the bridal party and immediate
    families and a reception fol-
    lowed at 8 p.m. m the Clay Pipe
    Room of Delaware Hotel. Buffet
    luncheon was served 300 guests
    from a table centered with a
    wedding cake flanked with white
    candles in star-shaped crystal
    holders.
    For a wedding trip to the ad-
    irondacks, the bride selected a
    white linen dress with white ac-
    cessories and a corsage of red
    roses. Mr. and Mrs. Bukowski
    are at home in 294 Goundry St.
    Prenuptial parties were given
    in honor of the bride by Miss
    Barbour, the bridegroom's mother,
    Mrs. James Harris and Miss
    Leverentz; Mrs. Andrew Voelker.
    Mrs. Richard Voelker and
    Mrs. Ernest Klatt. Mrs. Robert
    Aiken and Mrs. H. Lyle Aiken.

    unexpectedly Monday (Sept. 14,

    She was a lifelong resident of
    this city, and a member of St.
    Rita's Society No. 308. She was
    employed by the Wurlitzer Co.
    She is survived by her hus-
    band, Walter Bukowski; two

    and Dennis Bukowski, and three
    grandchildren, all of this city;
    two brothers, Michael Andrasik

    Mrs. Aiken was a
    r e s i d e n t of North
    Tonawanda the past 40
    years, a member of St.
    Mark Lutheran Church
    and the Wollcottsville
    Golden Agers.
    She is survived by her
    husband, Ralph Aiken;
    two sons, Robert R. of
    North Miami Beach, Fla.,
    and H. Lyle Aiken of
    North Tonawanda; a
    daughter, Mrs. Walter
    (Janice) Bukowski of
    North Tonawanda; nine

    Bukowski of North Tonawanda,
    and two sons, Robert
    R. Aiken of Hallandale, Fla.,
    and H. Lyle Aiken of North
    Tonawanda. They also have
    eight grandchildren and three
    great-grandchildren.
