Surrounded by his family he went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2016. Vernon spent 55 years working at Drum Oil Company where he served many customers and friends.
He was born on October 8, 1931 to the late Fay and Mary (nee Starks) Spears. He was predeceased by the love of his life Jane Norma Spears. Beloved father of Norma (Gary) Jones, Doug(Sue) Spears, Pam Spears, Michael(Ethel) Spears, and Julie Volschow.
Cherished grandfather to several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Vernon loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. If desired memorials may be made to Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church 1355 West Ave., Medina, NY Services will be held privately by the family.
