Dolores M. ‘Dee’ (Maio) Barto, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Hattie Hahn.

Dee attended local schools and later worked as a beautician. She was also employed as a sales associate at the former Jenss Department Store on Main Street in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Dee was predeceased by her husband Russell B. Maio on October 27, 1967 and later by her second husband Joseph A. ‘Curly’ Barto on April 9, 2006. She is survived by five sons Jack Maio of Union, OH, Thomas (Susan) Maio of Englewood, OH, David (Lauren) Maio of Clayton, OH, Richard (Linda) Maio of Englewood, OH and Michael (Marie) Maio of Lewiston, NY; three step children Donna (Greg) Schuey of Youngstown, NY, Joseph ‘Doug’ (Linnea) Barto of Niagara Falls, NY and David (Kim) Barto of Ransomville, NY; twenty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by five siblings Ginnie, Ruth, Robert, Ollie and Bernice.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Friday, June 10th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY . Interment at the convenience of the family will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228.
