    Notes:

    Leo J. Peryea, age 92, of Wheatfield, died unexpectedly, Thursday, June 16, 2016. Born Sepetember 30, 1923 in Alder Bend, New York, he was the son of the late John and Anna (nee DeBesque Miller) Peryea and had been a resident of Western New York for the greater part of his life. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he was an Army Veteran of WWII where he served in France and was the Engineering Manager at Durez Plastics in North Tonawanda before retiring in 1988. Leo was a member of the American Legion Post 1322 in North Tonawanda and St. Matthew Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda. He was a former Boy Scout leader and had been actively involved in construction of St. Paul's Lutheran School as well as many other buildings. Leo enjoyed restoring old trucks and gasoline engines.

    He was the husband of the late Doris (nee Stoelting) Peryea, who died November 5, 2000; father of Kirk (Margo) Peryea of Middleport, Dorilee (Gary) Male of Malta, Dean (Roxanne) Peryea of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Lavonne May of Niagara Falls; grandfather of Joshua Peryea, Leah (Jim) Tyrrell, Anna (Pedro) Sotelo-Peryea, Mary (Lindsay) Grabau, Trevor (Sydney) Grabau, Benjamin (Shawna) Peryea, Rebecca Peryea, Ross DeWeese, Lisa Sidor, and the late Jason Weaver; great-grandfather of Jackson, Charlotte, Victor, Gunnar, Jody, Joshua, Neehah, Tori, Riley, and Macie; and brother of Norman (Claire) Peryea of Woodstock, Virginia, Christine Shepard of Vancouver, British Columbia, and ten siblings who predeceased him. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

    There is no visitation. Services will be cared for privately followed by interment at White Chapel Memorial Park, Town of Amherst. If desired, memorials to Lutheran World Relief, PO Box 17061, Baltimore, MD 21298-9832, or to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 875 Eggert Drive, North Tonawanda, NY 14120, are preferred by the family.

    H. W. Stoelting Dies at Sanborn
    SANBORN, Nov. 8 - Herman W. Stoelting, 77, of the Upper Mountain road, died suddenly last evening at his home, following a heart attack. Born in Bergholtz, Mr. Stoelting was a lifelong resident of the area. He was employed by the Wurlitzer Manufacturing company, North Tonawanda for the last 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church. North Tonawanda. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Witkop Stoelting; two sons, Clarence, Sanborn, and Allen Stoelting, North Tonawanda; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Scholz, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Leo Peryea, Sanborn; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Julius Stoelting, Bergholtz, and a sister, Mrs. Augusta Strassburg, Sanborn. The body will be at the family home, Upper Mountain road, where funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. and at 2:30 o'clock at St. Paul's* church. The Rev. Frederick Hinners will officiate. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park cemetery.

    Sunday at the home of his daughter,
    Mrs. William Eggert on the
    Upper Mountain road, town of
    Cambria. He is survived by his
