KARCHER, NORMAN W. SR., age 95 of Knowlesville, NY and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, January 29, 2021. Husband of the late Marilyn F. (nee Lubs) Karcher who died in 2016, father of Deborah (David) Evans, Norman (Nancy) Karcher, Jr., Norma (James) Dabney, Roger Karcher, Brenda (Glen) Busch and Richard (Rebecca) Karcher. Also survived by many grand-children, great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and predeceased by one grandchild. Norman was a member of Abundant Harvest United Methodist Church and a former active member of Salem United Church of Christ. He was also a member of Renovation Masonic Lodge, Canalside Chap. 381 OES and a life member of Delaware Hose Volunteer Fire Co. Norman was also a Past Member of Sutherland Masonic Lodge and 32 Scottish Rite. A private burial will be held in Elmlawn Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.ROTH FUNERAL.com.

LUBS - Lillian S. Lubs, 82, of Tonawanda, N.Y., Tuesday (June 19, 1979) after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Lubs was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Marilyn) Karcher, Sr., a son, Gerald Bensinger, both of Tonawanda; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother , William Schroeder of Florida and four sisters, Mrs. Ella Kohler, Mrs. Chester (Bessie) Leaderstorf, Mrs. Glen (Edna) Warblow and Mrs. William (Mildred) Krupp, all of the Tonawandas and several nieces and nephews. Wife of the late Martin Lubs who died in 1961. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda this evening from 7 to 9 and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m., the Rev. Richard H. Trump will officiate. Interment Elmlawn Cemetery.
