    Obituary of Agnes Bradley

    Agnes Gene Bradley, age 86 of Ransomville, died Sunday July 3, 2016 in the Northgate Manor Health Care Facility in Wheatfield after a long illness.


    Gene was born June 18, 1930 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Perry) Bradley. She was a 1948 graduate of Wilson High School and a graduate of the Kelley Business Institute. On August 25, 1951 she married Harvey E. Bradley. Gene assisted him in the operations of his business, Harvey Bradley Trucking & Excavating, by serving as Vice President and Secretary. Harvey predeceased her on June 9, 2000.


    She was a member of Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church, an avid bowler, and an active member of the Ransomville Rural Retiree's. She was a former member of the Porter Pioneers Snowmobile Club. Gene loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


    She is survived by a daughter, Claudia Fleckenstein of Ransomville; a son, Raymond "Butch" (Ruth Ann) Bradley of Wilson; her grandchildren, Rebecca Fleckenstein, Katherine (Adam) Serbert, Ann Marie and Jennifer Bradley; her great grandchildren, Liam and Ella Serbert; and a

    sister, Ann Gubala of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn (Ted) Lederhouse.


    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 11, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ann Cole, officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fillmore Chapel United Methodist Church, Po Box 250, Ransomville, NY 14131 or to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 1413

    tested and proven formula cited by Mr. and Mrs. Frank
    H. Bradley on the eve of their 50th wedding anniversary
    which will be celebrated at an open house Sunday
    from 2 to 5 at the home of their daughter and son-in- .
    law, Mr. and Mrs. Denton E. Hardison of 1885 S. Lake
    St., Ransomville.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bradley were
    married Jan. 12, 1910 by the late
    Rev. C. M. Schaubacher at the
    Methodist parsonage in Olcott.
    They honeymooned in Buffalo,
    after a trolley ride from Lock-
    port where they left their horse
    and cutter at a livery stable for
    several days.
    Mr. Bradlley was born n North
    Ridge April 23, 1886,, the son of
    the late Alfred and Lucy Belknap
    Bradley, and his wife, the former
    Theda Lafler,, was born July 23,,
    1890, the daughter of the late Ed-
    ward and Jessie Miles Lafler, also
    of North Ridge.
    Forty years ago the couple
    moved from North Ridge to their
    present farm home at 1060 Dick-
    ersonville Rd., Ransomville. Mr.
    Bradley still farms and takes
    produce to market in season. As
    a member of the Farm Bureau,
    he has received his 25-year pin.
    There are two sons, Miles Brad-
    ley of East Otto, and Harvey
    Bradley of Ransomville; five
    daughters, Mrs. Marion Shippy,
    Mrs.. Nettie Martin, both of
    Youngsstown; Mrs.. Dora Chest-
    nut, Mrs.. Mildred Hillman and
    Mrs. Esther Hardison, all of Ran-
    somvile; 24 grandchildren and
    one great-grandchild.

    Sunday (Jan. 29. 1967) at Mount

    where she had been a patient
    for 4 1/2 weeks.'
    She was born May 16, 1902 in
    the Town of Porter, the daughter
    of Harrison and Marie Field
    Perry.
    She was married on Dec. 2,
    1922 at Niagara Falls <> Ray
    mond Bradley, who died in
    1959.
    Following her marriage, she
    taught school for five years at
    Porter No. 5 School.
    Mrs. Bradley was a lifelong
    member of Fillmore Methodist
    Chapel, where she taught Sunday
    School for more than 40
    years, and a life member of the
    Women's Christian Temperance
    Union and the Youth Temperance
    Council.
    Surviving are three daughters,
    Mrs. Laurence (Marilyn)
    Lederhouse and Mrs. Harvey
    (Gene) Bradley, both of Ransomville,
    and Mrs. Ma t h ew
    (Anne) Bank of Youngstown, a
    sister and one brother,, Mrs..
    George Carter of Youngstown
    and Mordon Perry of Ransom-
    ville; also 10 grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Ham-
    ilton & Clerk Funeral Chapel,
    Wilson, where the family will
    be present from 2 to 4 and 7
    to 9 p.m. Funeral services will
    be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday,
    with the Rev. Robert Jones and
    the Rev. Clarence French offi-
    ciating.
    Burial will be in North Ridge
    Cemetery.
