    Notes:

    Of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was born in Lockport, NY,  on March 4, 1931, the son of the late Albert W. and Ada [Hoover] Schoelles.
    He grew up in Sanborn and served with the US Navy. Mr. Schoelles was employed at Schoelles Lumber and with various businesses in the area, before working with US Security, before retiring in 2016.
    He was an exempt  member of the Sanborn Fire Company and the Sanborn Fire Co. Band.   Mr. Schoelles enjoyed spending time with his family.
    He was the husband of the late Barbara [Hansen] Schoelles, who passed away in 2003. Mr. Schoelles is survived by four sons Michael  (Georgia), Timothy, Randall and Douglas (Sandra) Schoelles, six daughters Brenda (late Ronald) Daigler,  Debra (Dave Cuddy) Manera, Sandy (Donald) Leffler, Loreen and Judy Schoelles and Patti (Roy) Belling, also nineteen grandchildren and fourteen and one half great grandchildren.
    His family will be present on Monday from 2-4 & 7-8:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where the Sanborn Fire Co. will have a service at 8:15 PM, followed by funeral services with military honors at 8:30 PM, with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.
    Mr. Schoelles donated his body to the University of Buffalo School of Medicine.
    Flowers are gratefully declined. memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

    Elvina J. (Reed) Sciuk, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY Passed away on Monday August 22 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Wilson, NY on January 26 1931, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Frances (Schrader) Reed. On February 14 1981, Elvina married Frank J Sciuk who predeceased her on June 6, 2006.Elvina attended Wilson High School and later Graduated from Kelly Business Institute. She enjoyed Bingo, Gardening, her pets, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.


    Survivors include siblings Donna (late Sidney) Pettit and Shirley (Kenneth) Beyer and Larry Reed and former husband Duane Schoelles. She also survived by her children Joel (Michelle) Sciuk, Michael (Georgia) Schoelles, Brenda (late Ronald) Daigler, Debra Manera (David Cuddy), Timothy Schoelles, Sandra (Donald) Leffler, Randall Schoelles, Douglas (Sandra) Schoelles and 20 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.


    Friends may call Thursday, August 25th from 5-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 8:30PM with Pastor Lou Perez officiating.     Frances L. Reed, age 102, of Wilson, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Newfane Rehab and Health Care Center, after a short illness. She was born in Wilson on May 8, 1907, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Minnie Seelow Schraeder. She married Lawrence Reed in Wilson on May 15, 1925, he predeceased her on September 28, 1980. She worked on the family farm and enjoyed crocheting, gardening and her flowers. She is survived by four children, Donna Pettit of Wilson, Elvina Scuik of Niagara Falls, NY, Shirley (Kenneth) Beyer of Lockport and Larry (Diane) Reed of Wilson; one sister, Laura Payne of Lockport and 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Monday, August 3, 2009 at the Hamilton and Clark, Inc., Funeral Home from 11 - Noon, where funeral services will follow at Noon, with Rev. Jeffrey Durham, officiating.
