    Ernest H. Ganshaw, Jr., September 5, 2016 in Niagara Hospice House with his family at his side. Born on August 17, 1933 in the Town of Niagara, he is the son of the late Ernest H. and Helen (Britton) Ganshaw, Sr.
    He attended local schools and worked the family farm then served in the Korean War in the Army in 1953 as a Demolition Expert honorably discharged in 1955. He worked for Allied Chemical in Wilson starting in 1956 retiring after 25 years he also worked for Hamilton and Clark in his spare time. Ernest met Karen Walker in 1963 and they married July 25, 1964. He loved CB radios, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends, especially camp in Stuben County Town of Killbuck.
    Surviving besides his wife is children, Harold (Debbie) Ganshaw of Wilson, Linda Johnson of Wrights Corners, Darin Ganshaw of Wilson and Ernest W. Ganshaw of Sanborn. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Ernest H. Ganshaw II; brother, Samuel (Ann) Ganshaw of Pennsylvania; and sister, Barbara Ganshaw.
    Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 PM in the Hamilton and Clark Funeral Home, 270 Young Street, Wilson, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara Hospice or Ransomville Free Methodist Church.

    A very happy occasion took place

    Miss Helen M. Britton, daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Britton of
    Niagara Falls waa united to marriaga
    to Ernest H. Ganshaw, son of
    Mr. and Mrs. Herman J. Ganshaw
    of this place at the M. E. parson
    age in Wilson at 7 o'cock by the
    Rev. Fay N.. Chapman.
    The couple was attended by Mr.
    and Mrs. Herbert O. Jacobs of Wilson;
    Miss Lorenn Ganshaw and
    James McDonough of Lockport,
    Mrs. Jacobs and Mlas Ganshaw
    being sisters of the groom. The
    bride was prettily attired in a grey
    traveling suit with hat to match
    after the ceremony. The bridal
    party motored to Lockport where a
    wedding dinner was served at the
    Park hotel, after which tha happy
    couple left amid showers of rice
    and good wishes for happiness to
    their noma to Virginia.
    Pre-nuptial events to honor of
    Mr. and Mrs. Ganshaw were a dinner
    given by Mr. and Mrs. William
    Volls at their home to Buffalo on
    Wednesday, and Mr. and Mrs.
    Louis Pratt entertained at dinner
    to their home on Thursday evening

    his home after a lengthy illness.
    He was a former peace justice,
    having served Town of
    Niagara in that capacity for
    18 years.

    had been in poor health for

    sickness was of a few days length.
    Mrs. Britton was a native of
    Pittsburgh, Pa. She had resided in
    the Town of Niagara for 38 years.
    Surviving are her husband, Samuel
    Earl Britton, retired justice of
    the peace: six sons, Earl. Samuel,
    John, Phillip, Harry and Harold
    Britton, all of Town of Niagara;

    Funeral services will be held
    Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at Cornell
    and Daggett Funeral Chapel and
    at 9 o'clock at St. Teresa of the
    Infant Jesus Church. Burial will
    be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
