    les; grandmother of Kathy Nickles-Wil-
    son, Dawn Nickes, Anthony Nickes,
    Aja Sammons and several great-grad-
    children; sister of Stella (Late Joseph)

    (Diane) suita, ,nieces, nephews, cous-
    ins and best friend, Cathy Kern, Joanne
    was a Eucharisstic Minister at St. Jude
    the Apostle Parish and retired after 42
    years from Praxair, Inc. working as an
    administratice assistant in the constsruc-
    tion design and drafting department.
    After retiring, Joanne took care of el-
    derly people, both day care and live-in
    until she was 81. She was known for
    making beautifu afghans for family
    and friends. As a victim of Love Canal,
    Joanne was active as a member of
    Ecumenical Task Force, helping those
    affected by this man-made tragedy.
    Visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 PM at the
    WATTENGEL FUNERAL HOME, 533
    Meadow Dr.,, N. Tonawanda. A Mass of
    Christian Burial will be held Thursday at
    10 AM from St.. Jude the Apostle Par-
    ish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. Burial will
    be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiton.
    In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude
    the Apostle Building Fund, Kenmore
    Mercy Hospital Foundation or The Hos-
    pice Foundation of WNY, in Joanne's
    name would be appreciated. Online

    Dies at 78
    Walenty A. Siuta, 78, of
    2233 Falls St., a founder of St.
    S t a n i s laus Kostka Church,
    died today (Nov. 4, 1965) at
    Memorial Hospital after a
    short illness.
    He was born in Poland and
    came to the United States and
    to Niagara Falls in 1902. He
    was employed as a plumber
    and, during the construction
    of the underground power
    tunnels in 1904, he worked as
    a driller.
    Later he was employed by
    Hooker Chemical Corp. and,
    in 1955, he retired from the
    International Graphite and
    Electrode Co. after 13 years
    service.
    He was a member of the St.
    John Kanty Society, Polish
    National Alliance, Group No.
    2094.
    He is survived by his widow,
    Regina Jarzab Siuta; six.sons,
    William Siuta, a board of education
    employe; August Siuta;
    John Siuta, a city Patrolman;
    Joseph Siuta, all of Niagara
    Falls; Walter Siuta, a
    Niagara-Wheatfield High
    School custodian and Stephen
    Siuta, a Niagara-Wheatfield
    High School teacher, both of
    S a n b o r n ; three daughters,
    Mrs. Leo (Virginia) Zasucha,
    Mrs. Stanley (Lottie) Zak and
    Mns. Henry (Genevieve) Mocniak,
    all of Niagara Falls; 27
    grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren.
    Services will be held at 9:30
    a.m. Saturday at the Zajac
    Funeral Home and at 10 a.m.
    at St. S t a n i s l a u s Kostka
    Church. Burial will be in
    Holy Cross Cemetery.
    The Rosary will be said at
    the funeral home at 8:30 p.m.
    Friday.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 2 to 5 and 7
    to 10 p.m. today and Friday.

    Saturday for Mrs. Regina Jar-
    zab Siuta, 83, of 2223 E. Falls
    St., who died in Moount St.
    Mary's Hospital Wednesday
    (May 28, 1969) after a long
    illness.
    She was born in Poland and
    she and her husband, the late
    Walenty Siuta, celebrated their
    60th wedding anniversary in
    November 1965.
    Mrs. Siuta was a resident of
    this city for 66 years and was
    one of the original members
    of St. Stanislaus Kosstka Church.
    She was a member of the
    Holy Rosary Society, Apos-
    tleship of Prayer to Sacred
    Heart, St. Jude's Guild and
    Mothers Club, all of St.
    Stanislaus Church, and the Star
    of Freedom Society Polish Na-
    tional Alliance.
    Surviving are six s o n s.
    Willfam Siuta of the Board of
    Education maintenance department;
    John Siuta, employed at
    the Niagara Falls International
    Airport; Walter Siuta, Sanborn,
    a fireman at the Niagara-
    Wheatfield school system;
    Joseph Siuta, a Niagara Falls
    Police Department patrolman;
    Stephen Siuta, Sanborn, a
    teacher at Niagara-Wheatfield
    High School and a realtor and
    August Siuta, this city; three
    daughters: Mrs. Leo (Virginia)
    Zasucha, Mrs. Stanley (Lottie)
    Zak, and Mrs. Henry
    (Genevieve) Mocniak, al of this
    city; two sisters, Mrs. Mary
    Chodacki, this city, and Mrs.
    Louise Danielewicz, Sanborn; 27
    grandchildren; 34 great-
    grandchildren and several
    nieces and nephews
    Another sister, Mrs. Victoria
    Moskwik, predeceased her.
    Funeral services will be held
    at the Zajac Funeral Home
    Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and at
    St. Stanislaud Kostka Church at
    10 a.m. with a Solemn Requiem
    Mass. Burial will be in Holy
    Trinity Cemetery.
    The rosary will be recited at
    the funeral home Friday at 8
    p.m. Friends may call at the
    funeral home Thursday and
    Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and
    7 to 10 p.m.

    50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRANTS—Mr. and
    Mrs. Valenty Siuta, East Falls St. will celebrate their golden weddmg
    anniversary on Monday. They were married in this city at
    Holy Trinity Church on Nov. 28. 1905. A Mass was said at 8 a.m.
    at St. Stanislaus Kosta Church this morning with all the member
    of the family and friends present. A breakfast followed at Madej's
    Hall and a reception will be held this afternoon and evening. Mr.
    and Mrs. Siuta have nine children: William Siuta. Gus Siuta, Mrs.
    Regina Zasucha. Walter Siuta, John Siuta, Mrs. Stanley Zak,
    Joseph Siuta, Steve Siuta, and Mrs. Henry Mocniak. They also
    have 24 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Siuta was
    employed at the International Graphite Corp. before retiring a
    month ago.
