    Charles A. Stahl, of Akron passed away on November 5, 2016. He was born on October 26, 1935 in the town of Royalton to the Late Fred and Viola (Meitz) Stahl. Charles lived his whole life in Wolcottsville. He worked as a milk hauler for Stahl Brothers and was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was one of the founding members of the Wolcottsville Sportsman's Club and a lifetime member in both the North American Hunt Club and the NRA. His wife, Cynthia (Moyer) Stahl; his sons, Daniel (Judy) Stahl of West Falls, James (Melinda) Stahl of West Shelby, Gregory (Kelly) Stahl of Greenville, PA, Matthew (Pamela) Stahl of Lockport; and a daughter, Kathy Stahl of Lockport survive him. Other surviving children include Steven Gothard, Amy Gothard, Karen Gothard, Sheila (Paul) Harrell, Kathleen Bowen, Jason Peters and Kyra Hogg; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Arnold (Janet) Stahl; a sister, Norma Rehwaldt, Aunt Helen Martin; and sister-in-law, Shirley Stahl, along with numerous nieces and nephews also survive him. A brother, Robert Stahl; and sister, Jean Danielwicz predecease Charles. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron. A funeral service will take place on Friday, November 11th at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Rd., Wolcottsville.     lived all of his life in the Town
    of Royalton and was employed
    at Harrison Radiator in Lockport
    until retirement
    Mr. Stahl was a member of

    member of Wolcottsville Fire
    Department.

    WOLCOTTSVILLE —
    Viola Stahl, age 100, of Wolcottsville, NY, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 21 2014 at the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility in Lockport following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Wolcottsville, Viola was born in the Town of Royalton on December 8, 1913, daughter of the late Andrew and Helena (Lange)Meitz.
    She attended the one room schoolhouse in Wolcottsville, and was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Church. Gifted with a God-given talent for singing she shared her beautiful voice in the church choir. Viola was also asked on many occasions to sing at numerous weddings. She also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends and family.
    Viola was the dear wife of the late Fred Stahl, who passed away in 1981. She was loving mother of Norma (late Lavern) Rehwaldt, Charles (Cindy) Stahl, Arnold (Janet) Stahl, and the late A. Robert Stahl, and Jean Danielwicz; mother-in-law of Shirley Stahl, and Flevie Danielwicz; proud and cherished grandmother of 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. Dear sister of Helen (late Walter) Martin, the late Florence (Alvin) Faskel and Wilfred (Virginia) Meitz. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will take place on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Road, Wolcottsville, NY, with pastor Rod Klingzing officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Ridge Cemetery in Royalton. There will be no prior visitation, and the family would ask for expressions of sympathy be made in Viola's name to the church or Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Niagara Hospice for the exceptional care that was given to Mrs. Stahl and her family.     Florence Meitz, sister of the bride,

    The bride carried a bouquet of snap
    dragons and sweet peas and the bridemaid

    at the home of the bride's parents, Mr
    and Mrs. Andrew Meitz. Eighteen were
    seated at the bride's table, 32 being
    present. Mr. and Mrs. Stahl received
    many useful gifts.

    farmer, Fred W. Stahl, 83,
    died in his sleep at the home
    of his son, Fred M. Stahl, 6219
    Royalton Center Road, Wol-
    cottsville, Tuesday (June 11,
    1963).
    He was born July 30, 1879,
    in the town of Royalton, the
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin
    Stahl, and had always resided
    in this vicinity. His wife, the
    former Martha Schlegel, died
    in 1937. His son, Alvin R.
    Stahl, died last December.
    Besides the son, he is sur-
    vived by a daughter, Mrs. Rob-
    ert Lindsey, Middleport; a
    brother, Martin Stahl, Pendle-
    ton; five grandchildren, 10
    great-grandchildren, and sev-
    eral nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 3 to
    5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wal-
    lace and Heath Funeral Home,
    where services will be held at
    2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Herman
    Ewald of Wolcottsville officiat-
    ing. Burial will be in Royalton
    Mountain Ridge Cemetery.

    The many relatives and friends
    were more than shocked to hear
    of the sudden death of Mrs. Fred
    Stahl (nee Martha Schlegel) which
    took place at her home Friday.
    September 10th Mrs. Stahl has
    been sick more or less the past
    four or five years. Leaving to
    mourn her loss besides her husband.
    Fred Stahl. three children.
    AIvin at home. Mrs. Herbert Faskel
    and Fred Stahl Jr., all of this
    place, three grandchildren, her
    mother. Mrs Cuno Schlegel; two
    brothers and three sisters, George
    Schlegel of Medina, Fred of the
    Akron road, Mrs. William Becker
    of Hartland and Mrs. Clarence
    Schilling of Gasport and Mrs.
    Percy Spark of the Mountain road;
    several nieces and nephews, be-
    sides other relatives and friends.
    Mrs. Stahl died at the age of 51
    years, 9 months and 16 days. The
    funeral was held at her home on
    Monday, Sep. 13. The Rev. Fred-
    rick Schleef officiating. The sing-
    ers were Charles Woodstock, Mr.
    and Mrs. Parley Boyce, Mrs. An-
    drew Kraatz, all of Basom. The
    bearers were Frank Brege,Herman

    She was laid to rest on
    Mountain Ridge cemetery- Mrs
    Stahl will be greatly missed by
    all who knew her as she was always
    ready to lend a helping hand.

    WOLCOTTSVILLE - Mrs. Helen Mietz, 76, of 9267 Foot Road, Akron, wife of Andrew
    Mietz, died Friday (Jan. 16, 1970) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after suffering a broken hip six days ago. A resident of this community for the last six years, she was`born Jan. 24,. 1893 in Sanborn the daughter of Ferdinand and Augusta (Haseley) Lange.She was a member of the Wolcottsville Trinity Lutheran Church. Besides her husband she is survived bv one son, Wilfred Mietz of this community, three daughters, (Viola) Stahl; Wolcottsville; Mrs. Alvin (Florence) Fasaul of Medina; Mrs. Walter (Helen) Martin of Akron. Also surviving is one sister, Miss Alwinnie. Lange and one brother Alfred Lange, both of Niagara Falls, 13 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wolcottsville Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. C. H. Reichert officiating. Burial will be in Trinity. Lutheran Church cemetery.
