    Notes:

    On Monday, November 14, 2016, Gerald 'Jerry' Cramer, 70, was called to his heavenly home at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and Niagara County Community College. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Munitions Crew Chief from 1966-1970. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Stationed for 1 and a half years in Thailand, he was involved in operations against enemy forces in Vietnam. He was awarded The Republic of Viet Nam Campaign Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, with a Bronze Star, The National Defense Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He also earned the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Outstanding Unit Ribbon, The Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, The Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Air Force Missile Badge. His hobbies included coin collecting, playing chess, solving mathematical and word puzzles, bowling, hunting, fishing, gardening and going to the casinos. He worked for myriad plants, Seneca Niagara Casino, and City and State jobs in the area and received many letters of recommendation from each one. He was known as a prolific writer and several of his articles were published in National Magazines. He was a member of the American Legion LaSalle Post #1142 and a past member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #346 and the LaSalle Sportsman Club. He married his High School sweetheart, and was married for forty six years to Barbara (Zahno). He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His primary goals in life were ways and means to please others. He was best-known for his generosity; always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, without expecting anything in return. His meticulous work-habits, always stressing for accuracy and details and striving to find more efficient and cost-effective ways of doing things gave him instant recognition amongst his fellow workers and employers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jason; a daughter, Tiffany; two grandchildren, Joshua Cramer and Savannah Cramer. He is also survived by his best and long-term friend, Ron Huey, who was always there for him in his time of need and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sadly missed by everyone who were privileged to make his acquaintance. Visitation will be on Friday, November 18th from 3-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John De LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment with Military Honors will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY.

    The funeral of Michael J. Argy. held
    at 8:30 a. m. today from the family
    home, 532 Eleventh street, and at 9' a.
    m. from St. Mary's church, was largely
    attended. The church was filled with
    members of the family and friends and
    pupils of the high school department
    of St. Mary's parochial school. The
    solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated
    by the Rev. Cornelius F. Kllleen,
    pastor of St. Mary's, assisted by the
    Rev. Francis Ryan, assistant at St.
    Mary's, and the Rev. David Cahill,
    Buffalo. In the sanctuary were the
    Rev. John Peel, Buffalo, and the Rev.
    George A. O'Neill, pastor of St. Joseph's
    church, this city.
    An unusually large number of beautiful
    floral tributes attested the sympathy
    and respect of many friends. The
    bearers were H. A. Hughes, D. A. McDonald,
    Otis Smith, W. H. Jewell. J. J.
    Sullivan. F. H. Haseley. Charles BOwen
    and William Murphy. The Rev. Fathers
    Killeen. Ryan, Cahill and O'Neill accompanied
    the funeral procession to
    Rlverdale cemetery for the final burial
    rites.

    of the Cliff Paper company and widely
    known resident. died in Mercy Hospital.
    Buffalo, at 10:15 p m yesterday.
    Funeral services will be held from the
    family home Saturday morning at 8:30
    o'clock and at St Mary's church at 9.
    A m Burial will be in Riverdale cem-
    etery.
    Mr. Argy underwent an opeeration In
    the Buffalo hospital several days ago
    following which compications arose
    a n d caused -his death. Although his
    friends here were aware that his condi-
    tion was serious his death was unex-
    pected and caused wide sorrow,
    Mr Argy was a native of Lawrence,
    Mass. When a youth he entered the
    paper-making business conducted by his
    father and remained connected with the
    industry throughout his life He served
    as superintendent of some of the lar-
    gest paper mills of the country before'
    coming to Niagara Falls in 1902 from
    Combined Locks, Wis.
    His reputation as an authority in the
    paper-making industry was nationwide
    He was an inventor of a number of
    modern devices for the manufacture of
    paper and a number of manufacturing
    methods introduced by him are now in
    universal use. He was the president
    of the Northern New York division.

    Zahno, a native and lifelong resident
    of the Town of Porter, died
    today at his home,. North Lake
    street, after a prolonged-illness.
    Mr. Zahno was born in the Town
    of Porter and was a farmer until
    his retirement several years ago.
    He was a member of St. Peter's
    Lutheran church, North Ridge.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
    Edith Zahno, four sons, Franklin.,
    Thomas and Glenn Zahno, all of
    Ransomville, and Edward Zahno,
    Niagara Falls; two daughters, Mrs.
    Fred Widmer and Mrs. Wallace
    Schultz, both of Lewiston;
    brother, Henry Zahno, Buffalo, 17

    child.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Zahno home Friday at 2 p.m.
    and at 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's

    Zahno, 85, of 4358 Porter Road,
    a lifelong resident of this area,
    died Friday (Nov. 4, 1966) at
    home after a,long illness.
    Mrs. Zahno was born Jan. 9,
    1881 in Ridge Road the daughter
    of the late Mr. and Mrs.
    John Heiden. She was the
    widow of Frank Zahno.
    Mrs. Zahno is survived by
    three sons, Franklin, Thomas
    and Glen Zahno, all of Ransomville;
