    Mae M. (Nadeau) Donovan, 96, of Perrysburg, OH, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on June 29th, 2023 while residing at the St. Clare Commons Assisted Living Facility in Perrysburg, Ohio. Born May 1, 1927 in Biddeford, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edith (DuFour) Nadeau and attended schools there. Her family later moved to Niagara Falls, NY where she graduated from Niagara Falls High School and eventually met her future husband, Milton (Jack) Quick and eventually they moved to a farm in Wilson, NY to raise their family on a farm. She later married John Donovan and spent many happy years with him in Newfane, NY. Mae was a very devoted mother and wife and farmer. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends which included over a decade as a volunteer Girl Scout leader for both her daughter and many young ladies even after her daughter was no longer in Girl Scouts. Mae was a former member of St. Brendan on the Lake Roman Catholic Church and both Wilson and Newfane’s Golden Agers in addition to many activities in support of the ministry at St Brendan on the Lake. Everyone who met her were endeared to her cheerful smiles, positive attitude and earnest desire to help others. She is survived by her four sons, Joseph E. (Eileen) Quick of Lynchburg, VA Clifford H. (Susan) Quick of San Angelo, TX; David S. (Karen) Quick of Waynesboro, PA; and Robert J. (Janet) Quick of Perrysburg, OH.; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her two husbands, Milton Quick, and her second, John Donovan; her daughter Kathleen, three brothers and six sisters. Friends may call at the Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main St, Newfane, NY on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11am at St. Brendan On the Lake Church, 3455 Ewings Rd, Newfane, NY, with Father Andrew Lauricella officiating. Burial following at St. Charles Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimer's Association, https://act.alz.org , Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc., is assisting with funeral arrangements.
