D. Arthur Marinucci, 85, of Rushford, NY, formerly of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Agostino and Christine (Balassone) Marinucci.
Art, as he was known to everyone, attended local schools and served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 until his honorable discharge in 1952. On June 27, 1953, he married Angeline T. (Massaro) Marinucci at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. He was predeceased by her on February 16, 1998. Art was a member of Carpenters Local #280 in Buffalo, NY, and worked for Sicoli & Massaro Construction at various area construction sites. He would often share his time and expert skill at carpentry, helping his family and friends with their home construction and renovations. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
Art is survived by three sons Don A. (Daria) Marinucci, Richard A. (Linda) Marinucci and Michael A. (René) Marinucci; eight grandchildren Don (Erin) Marinucci, Jamie (Matt) Henwood, Andrew Marinucci, Richard (Eliza Muench) Marinucci, Angela (Dustin) Schnell, Christina Marinucci, Maria (Christine Black) Marinucci and Joanna Marinucci; six great grandchildren Lily, Quinn and Donnie Marinucci, William Henwood, Elliana and Amelia Schnell; one sister Martha (Serafino) Giambattista, one brother Robert (Elaine) Marinucci and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers Arturo Marinucci and Hugo (late Mary) Marinucci.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services be held on Thursday December 15th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
