    Notes:

    Mary (Scarfone) Colosi, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Absolute Care at Orchard Park. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Josephine (Anastasio) Scarfone.

    Mary was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On October 26, 1946, she married Mario J. “Lefty” Colosi. Mr. Colosi predeceased her on June 14, 2010 after sixty-three years of marriage. Mary worked at the former Niagara Wallpaper Company and later as a clerk at the former Dixie Hat Shop, both in Niagara Falls. She had a strong faith in her Christian beliefs and faithfully attended church weekly. Mary was a fabulous baker and was especially known for her cream puffs. She also enjoyed crocheting afghans, sweaters bedspreads and potholders.

    Mary is survived by one son, Anthony C. (Rene M.) Colosi, two grandchildren, Jennifer (Bruce) Avery and Nicholas ‘Nico’ A. Colosi; one great-grandchild London Avery; one brother Joseph (Rose) Scarfone and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Josephine Perry, Betty (late Charles) Fantrazzo, Teresa (late Anthony) Perricelli and two brothers, Frank (Delores of the Town of Niagara) Scarfone and Anthony (late Sandra) Scarfone.

    Visitation will be on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Rob Scott officiating. Entombment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
